Chemical pregnancies after MMC

I had a miscarriage in the summer, had an MVA under local which resulted in retained products, ended up having a D&C in September and got a negative pregnancy test at the end of Sept.

Since then I've had a faint positive in November and December but have then gone on to have my period.

Has anyone had similar and had any tests done by GP that have been helpful to show what's going on? Or is it a case of just wait and see and hope body recovers with time?

Thank you!

Sorry to hear of your loss. I've had three mva's and then a hysteroscopy with myosure all for retained products.

Have your periods changed in anyway? Mine took 4 months to return after the last procedure, they were fairly normal for around 18 months but have recently become a lot shorter and lighter. My fertility consultant wants to check for scarring caused by the procedures. To say I'm devastated is an understatement as I'll need another procedure to remove it if any is found. He said if there is scarring it can prevent implantation. Could be worth asking your GP for a referral. Good luck x

Me, MMC followed by chemical and then, when I fell again another chemical. Been diagnosed with high NK cells.

@Schoolrunmum81 I'm so sorry to hear that. Sounds likes you've been through a lot. I hope if scarring is found it's not too bad to resolve and helps your situation. My periods have been fairly normal, I don't think particularly light but I hadn't really had them for 2+years as I was pregnant/breastfeeding/had the coil but they seem fairly regular. We're looking to book a private ultrasound which I guess should pick up scarring?

@Objectiontime, I'm so sorry. It's horrible isn't it. How did they found out you had high NK cells and do they have a plan to help? hope you get your happy ever after.

It is horrible indeed. I have multiple allergies so I always suspected an immune issue so I got tests done privately after much research x

I meant to add that I will be on prednisone as soon as I get a positive test. I should have intralipids too but I'm allergic to them! I could go for IVIG injections but my budget will nowhere near go near the cost of them.
