I am age 40 and TTC. I have been told I have a good AMH and good number of follicles plus previous pregnancy earlier this year (sadly lost.) Do you think it's better to spend 12 months trying naturally or embark on 1 IVF cycle now when we have been given a 30-40% chance?

Go for the IVF

So sorry for your loss. Hope you get your rainbow soon x

Maybe give it 6 months and see how you go first?

IVF if there's even a remote chance that you might want more than one child. Even if you're lucky enough to fall pregnant again quickly (sorry about the loss, that's painful) you'll be 42/3 before even being able to consider a second and that really is too old for a lot of women, IVF or no.
