Has anyone else fallen pregnant after taking the morning after pill

Hello

I’ve found myself pregnant having taken the morning after pill after the condom failed. We did want another child but didn’t plan on it being this soon. Has this happened to anyone else? What did you tell others?

Not me but friends of mine fell pregnant after “Plan B”. She’s a beautiful little 9yr old now who they wouldn’t be without.

Many, many women. It is only effective if taken before ovulation and a lot of women don't know when they ovulate (and even then, it isn't 100%), so depending on when you had sex and when you ovulate, it can be completely ineffective (and even if taken at the right time it might just not work).

This definitely wasn't explained to me when I bought it at a pharmacy in my teens, or when the GP prescribed it for me in my 30s. I was just lucky.

I've since qualified as a nurse and have done training in assessing people for the morning after pill and it was very clearly explained in the training. I wasn't the only person in the room going "wait, what?!" when they taught us that part!
