Desperate to test, but it's way too early!

Ok, I'll keep it short and sweet:

☆ 19th - 23rd Oct: Aunt Flo 🩸
☆ 26th, 27th, 28th: we were... busy 😉
☆ 30th: ovulation
☆ 1st Nov: spotting, cramping
☆ Aunt Flow next due: 10th Nov

I'm so desperate to test but I know that I'll just get a negative for testing too early and I'll end up wasting testing strips.

I need motivation to not test just yet! What distractions would you recommend? I'm thinking of giving the tests to hubby and asking him to hide them. But I know that I'd just turn the house upside down trying to find them, or end up buying more lol!

Hello! I'm 8DPO and won't test till 10DPO (Mon) and then test everyday till AF should arrive Fri. Only because i'm on a long holiday the day of AF and need to know what to carry. Otherwise I'd probably wait till 3 days before AF.

I've seen first hand the stress caused by early testing, symptom spotting and faint lines and want to delay that anxiety as much as possible. Work is a good distraction during the week, and I do yoga/run/meet friends/spend time with DH the rest of the time. Anything to stop me thinking too much about it. I also don't want him to start hating the ttc process so don't want him to see me get obsessive, then disappointed.

Easier said than done as some days I do feel an urge to test just to see, but then remind myself there's no point - even if it is a faint positive, I'll then stress over whether it gets darker and keep testing progression - and it won't end till 12 week scan which is the only time i'll be confident it sticks. So everything else is just creating a chain reaction of anxiety and not going to make me feel better. Also this could take months, so maintaining my normal routine pre TTC is keeping me sane. Could you plan some nice things/activities for yourself during the 2WW as a distraction?
