Hi all,
A bit of context: I’m 9 months postpartum and breastfeeding. My period came back in July but hasn’t been very regular. This month, I think I ovulated around 4th-5th October. I was not tracking so the dates could be wrong, but I had EWCM and ovulation pain, so I thought that must be it. On the 11th I had a colposcopy at the hospital, and they did a pregnancy test prior to the exam that was negative, as I expected it to be. On the 12th my period (or what I thought was my period) started. If my ovulation date is right, that would have been at 7 or 8 dpo, so a very short luteal phase, but that didn’t surprised me too much as I know breastfeeding can shorten the luteal phase. I just thought my cycles were still a bit weird.

This period was very normal for me, lasted 3 days, quite heavy, followed by 4 days of spotting (the spotting is not so usual for me, but I didn’t think much of it). But then 6 days later (last Thursday, 24th) I started spotting again, which surprised me. I took an ovulation test, that came back positive, so I decided to take a pregnancy test, Clearblue how many weeks, and I got a positive, 1-2 weeks.
I have tested all weekend on cheap tests, they are positive, but the line is very faint, doesn’t seem to progress, but is definitely there. Today I took another digital how many weeks and got again 1-2 weeks (4 days after the first one). The spotting has stopped now, and I have no pain at all.

Did something similar happened to anyone? I’m very confused: was that “period” implantation bleeding and then the pregnancy is not progressing as it should, or was the period a very early miscarriage (chemical) and now my body is taking time to get rid of the HCG? I have no hope that this could be a viable pregnancy. With my supposed ovulation dates, I would be more than 5 weeks now, so would have stronger tests.
I have a history of recurrent miscarriage, (I had 4 before having my baby), but it never happened like that, they were all around 7-9 weeks with no prior bleeding, so I’m very confused! I just would like to know what is happening 😔 a bit worried about ectopic also, but my HCG seems so low that I don’t think anything could be seen on a scan. Sorry for the long post, and thank you if you can help.
