Did anyone taken a while to conceive first but second happened quicker?

So we have a one year old. It took us 2 years to conceive which was tough but I know others have had longer and more difficult journeys 🙏 I am now 37 so really hoping things happened a bit quicker this time.

Looking for experiences of anyone who took a while to conceive first time round but second happened quicker?

My friend took 4 years (yes really!) to conceive her first but just a few months to conceive her second. Both planned but the second was still a shock to her, she was expecting it to take at least a year I think!

I know 3 couples who tried for years and had to have IVF for their first, and then conceived their second accidentally when dc1 was very small, thinking that they didn’t need to use contraception.

Took four years to fall for my first child after seven miscarriages and then fell for my second child very soon, there is only just over a year between them, really wasn't expecting to fall so soon. X

It took me about 9 months to conceive my first and then I caught on my first attempt with the second 😬

Took 6 years and 2 IVF rounds first time. Decided to try naturally before more IVF and caught straight away- still in disbelief.

So looks like it’s happened really quick for us this time around. I would say this is our first / second month of trying! I’m shocked but delighted!

I had fertility treatment for my first. Found out I was pregnant when my little one was 5 months and only BD once since the first was born. 😂
