DS is 7 and desperate for a baby brother or sister, we sadly had an Ectopic pregnancy with right tube removal surgery last March after falling pregnant the first month of trying!

I hadn't felt ready to try again until 3 months ago, and naively I hoped I would catch like I did last year with my ectopic first time.
Obviously I have one less tube now so I need to give myself the best possible chance of conceiving and I've only tried to use OPKs before (disaster as I had no idea how to read them) but thinking it may be a good idea?

I need some advice on what ones to get please as the ones I have seen cheapy Amazons look really confusing as I am not sure I will be able to read my 'peak' with the lines, last time I tried I thought I got a positive early on and then it never got any darker so I don't know if I ovulated or not!

I need simple easy to read ones any ideas? Thanks so much!

The premom app with the easy at home strips from Amazon worked three times out of four attempts for me (two babies and a miscarriage). The app tells you when it's your peak, you just take a photo of the test strip. Test twice a day though for your first cycle so you can get a good idea of when you'll peak and definitely don't miss it.

PP got it in one! Came on to suggest the same. Would also suggest having sex every 2 days from CD7-20 ish depending on your cycle length. Best of luck 🤞

Thank you,'I've just ordered some and downloaded the app.
When is best to start testing please? What day in my cycle?
And times of day etc?

Another vote for the Premom app and easy @ home tests. I started started testing around Cd10, once a day; and then increased to twice a twice as the tests got a bit darker (I usually ovulated around CD17). Usually once in morning and once in evening. It’s more important you start regular sex once the tests start to get dark; don’t necessarily wait for a peak as I never officially got a peak in the app! But it worked twice for me with in a few months.

Thank you! Would any of you mind sharing a pic of your tests so I can see what a dark progress looks like please? Thank you

Also be aware you might only have one really dark test - mine never had any progression - I was a hardly there line at 7am and then almost black at 6pm and then faint again the next day. So if I only tested once a day I'd have missed it. Your main sex days are the day before ovulation (the day you get a dark line) and ovulation day (the day after your peak). If you get any of the days in the build up then that's a bonus!

Wow thats amazing!
Congrats.
Why do they not recommend morning samples?
So twice a day should be sufficient?
Thanks 🤩

They don't recommend morning samples because LH tends to be highest at night and takes time to be filtered into your urine...but I regularly got high results in the morning. So personally for your first cycle I'd test twice a day from when your period ends until about cycle day 10 and then three times a day. But I am admittedly a testing lunatic 😂
