Mystery cramp – implantation?

Morning all, hoping you might be able to shed some light on what's going on! Month one of TTC, had IUD removed 4 weeks ago and period came shortly after, on schedule. Haven't been expecting anything this month as it's early days but using OPK to try and get back to grips with my cycle. Haven't been using them v consistently because I've heard it can be tricky to catch your surge and didn't want to get too much in my head about it all so early on (lol not that it's worked). It has been just over 3 weeks since my period started so would expect to have ovulated by now but no EWCM (which I do usually get) so assumed hadn't happened yet, and never a positive OPK either.

Yesterday I was feeling weird, like foggy headed but generally just off, and in the evening I had a very low cramp, not on one side but consistent across the bottom of my pelvis, gentle but lasted all evening, was convinced it was an implantation cramp. No bleeding.

This morning I did an OPK just out of curiosity as obviously too early for a test and I had heard OPK sometimes show positive when pregnant – I know this is not a reliable way of trying to work it out but I had some in the flat and couldn't help myself 😂 and had my first positive OPK. But of course that's just confused me further. So my question is, am I totally wrong re implantation cramp, cycle delayed post IUD and about to ovulate as per the OPK. But the cramp did not feel like an ovulation cramp so would be a mystery to me why that happened. Not had anything like it before. AF came 23 days ago so if I had ovulated on schedule around 9 days ago then the timings align but I don't know!

Probably the answer is just chill out, wait and see but finding it hard and overthinking whether we should be DTD or taking a break if implantation might be happening. Any advice appreciated thanks 😊

If it's too early for a HCG test then an OPK won't show pregnancy.
