Hello,

has anyone had any experience in the midlands area of a particularly good private fertility clinic offering ovulation induction/monitoring, do you think it’s worth it and what is your experience? Many thanks

Hey,

I’m currently doing this in the midlands with Create. I’m on my second cycle. No success yet, but they have been very lovely and thorough. I’m doing 3-6 cycles of letrzole, ovitrelle (trigger shot), with monitoring scans on day 10 and day to day 12. If it doesn’t work after 6, I’ll be moving to something else x

Hey! Thanks so much for your reply that’s really
helpful, I actually spoke to create earlier and so happy to hear that they have been lovely for you. Im hoping that you get your positive really soon. To start treatment did you have any investigations done prior? I know that you have to have the consult and scan? Do you have to pay £500 each cycle? Sorry for all of the questions and thanks again! Xxx

That’s ok. You can always drop me a PM if you need to know anything. Yes the cycles are around £400-500, depending on if you need more letrozole and a trigger. They asked me to do LH tests too, but I wasn’t getting positives even though my follicle was ready. So if you get positive LH tests, you might not need the trigger which is an extra £50. I’m glad you spoke to them today. They’re really lovely and I feel in capable hands xx

Thanks so much! Did they do any other tests before prescribing you the medication at all? Just trying to work out overall costing! The doctors said that they could refer us from December but I just don’t know how long the wait would be via the nhs! I really hope it works for you this cycle and you get your big positive! 🙏🏼

They tested my AMH, and thyroid, but this was included in the baseline test. They weighed me as well. BMI is a bit high as I go to the gym and do a lot of weights. I’ve swapped this now for cardio and lighter weights. Thank you. I hope you get success as well xx
