Positive test but feel like AF about to arrive

I’m 15dpo and due on today. I’ve been having cramps the last few days and usually once I have cramps AF arrives within a few hours.

There’s been no sign of it so I just did a test and it’s come out positive!

I don’t remember having cramps like this in my first pregnancy, has anyone else had this?

I had cramps the whole of my first trimester. I’m due next week!

That’s good to know thanks! I haven’t had any other symptoms at all, whereas in my last pregnancy I felt awful immediately! Fingers crossed this means I’ll feel better this time!

I would really recommend doing a different brand test, I’ve had really unlucky false positives with these kinds x

Oh dear, it’s a pink dye one from Sainsburys so thought it would be fine!

Will take the other one in the pack tomorrow to be sure.

I felt like this with my first 3 years ago- I was totally convinced AF was coming and I wasn't being dramatic it genuinely felt like it so it was an actual shock when I got a positive on first response then a CB digital.

I also feel like that right this moment and have no idea if a BFN or BFP will come tomorrow after a faint line on also the Sainsbury's test! Tried to find first response to no avail. I do much prefer them. But we'll see what the morning brings.

In both my pregnancies I just felt exactly like AF was about to arrive but then it didn't and I got a BFP.
No other symptoms to a couple of weeks later

I had cramps and regular pre period back pain for a good couple of weeks which ive never had in any of my 4 previous pregnancies.... and then a big fat surprise positive.... baby is definitely in there as I had a scan at 5 weeks....
So completely normal!

thanks for everyone’s replies. Tested again this morning and still a strong positive and the cramps have gone so I’m starting to believe it!

It just feels weird not to have any symptoms. This time last pregnancy I felt absolutely dreadful.

hey! I feel the same - I’m due on today and feel as if I’m going to come on my period even though I’ve had positive tests since 11dpo. Quite intense cramps and bloating, I’m so convinced each time I go to the toilet that af is going to come.. you’re not the only one!
