Change in taste. Too early?

On 12 dpo. I’ve tested since 10dpo and all were resoundingly negative. Yesterday I bought some fresh tomato soup and had it for lunch. All good. Today, it tasted awful. I wouldn’t say metallic though, just really strange. Everything else I’ve drunk or eaten tastes fine. Has anyone had one single food stuff taste odd this early?
My husband was away, otherwise I’d have got him to taste it. I’m pretty certain it hadn’t gone off.

I've had some food aversions but much later in the first trimester.
I didn't have a single symptom before missing a period to be honest then a day or 2 later I started to get the sore boobs

Good luck

Pregnancy hormones can alter your taste, give you sore boobs etc... but if the pregnancy hormone is doing that to your body, that same pregnancy hormone would most certainly be visible on a HPT.

Thanks. What I thought really. I’ll wait for AF to arrive instead of wasting more tests.

I suppose this all depends where you are in your TTC journey. If you're only a few months in, it's fun to symptom spot and let's be honest, TTC should be fun, exciting and full of hope.

If you're years into your journey, symptom spotting can lead to crushing disappointment so expectation management is key.

I hope you get those amazing two lines very soon @GigglySquids
