Ovulating day 10 and BFP success stories please

Hi all,

My cycles have always been shorter than 28 days and with age they've got slightly shorter and range from 24-26 days. I am looking for hope (hopefully) that ovulating on day 10 can result in a BFP / successful pregnancy?

My follicular phase is normally 11 days but occasionally like once every 6 months il ovulate on day 10.

I am currently experiencing my normal one sided ovulation pains so I know I am ovulating now.

I've DTD last night and Saturday morning and will do tonight.

Is there hope or have I ovulated too early and need to mentally move on?

Thanks x

I ovulated CD11 and got pregnant so it’s possible !

Thank you @Henski I ovulated last night evening of day 10. Hoping it will be ok. Nothing last month & chemical month before but previous two months were ovulation day 11.

I've read loads that it's irrelevant about the day of ovulation as your body releases the egg when it's ready. I had scans last year to check my uterus and he was super pleased with it so I think il be ok.

You know what it's like, 1dpo and overthinking central starts 🤦🏽‍♀️

I hear you, unfortunately that pregnancy did end in a miscarriage at 8 weeks in July and now my cycles are all over the place, it’s CD 16 and no signs of ovulation I would take back CD 11 ovulation in a heart beat, limbo is not fun, been overthinking since CD 11 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Henski oh I am so sorry, that's shit! Do you know what may have caused the miscarriage or was it just one of those horrible life events we will never know why?

I guess it puts things into perspective doesn't it when something like this happens. If you are ovulating regularly that's such a positive thing and we shouldn't over think.

Did you have regular cycles before the miscarriage or has it all gone strange since?

I really hope it sorts itself out for you asap.

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? I am 35 which is why I think my cycles are shorter and ovulation earlier as I know my AMH is on the lower side so my FSH is higher at the beginning of my cycle which speeds up the maturing process. Or so I have read 🤦🏽‍♀️

It's more important the length of your luteal phase - so if you're ovulating CD10 within a 24 day cycle, that's still 14 days luteal phase which is more important as it gives sufficient time for implantation. It would be perhaps more concerning if you ovulated later within a short cycle. Are you testing for ovulation? I never had any ovulation symptoms so needed the tests for an accurate prediction.

I’m 33 turning 34 soon. I do have PCOS and I was on birth control for a long time came off last December. I wasn’t really tracking anything till that cycle I got pregnant.

How long have you been trying, might be worth asking your doctor to run some blood tests to make sure everything is ok.

Yes that's what I've read, the LP is more important. An egg is released when it's ready & some women have shorter or longer cycles.
I know when I ovulate every month, I use my app and my EWCM coincides perfectly and I ovulate on the 4th or 5th day of EWCM & I get strong one sided pain.
I normally just DTD a few times in the fertile window and it ends up the days before an on ovulation anyway.
My LP is 14 days after this every time.

Ah ok, maybe the PCOS is why your cycles are slightly irregular, do you confirm ovulation every month?

I had bloods done and scans 18 months ago as a health check to make sure I was ok & everything came back totally fine accept they did say my egg reserve is starting to decline so be mindful of time. 2 months later I met the love of my life and we started trying last month. So this is cycle 2 and I am 1dpo.

I had a chemical in early august as we had sex just once that fertile period on ovulation day. I was expecting nothing as it was only once and I thought we'd missed the boat but clearly not 🤦🏽‍♀️

So maybe you could say I am cycle 3 if you count the chemical.

It’s such early days! Do try and just enjoy trying, it’s normal to take a year. I didn’t even track for first few months.
