Bleeding but positive, is it chemical????

Hey, so I had a positive test 19DPO but then started bleeding at 21DPO for 2 days. I've had the teeniest bit of pink the last 2 days (25DPO) but that's it.

We think it was chemical and the nurse has told me to test in a week...

But my tests are really all over the place...
It seems to me that today's one is back to being a decent line.... whereas the 2/3 before are really faint...

From top to bottom it's first test to last test... just wondered if this could actually be chemical... but the lines got darker today 🤷🏻‍♀️ has anyone been through this?

Thank you in advance...I'm just not sure if it's actually chemical pregnancy or not and they want to wait another week before doing a scan 😩😩😩😩😩

Hi OP

I can see that's really frustrating.

I would look at the first and last test as they are using the same type of test so equally sensitive. The latest line, although very clear, looks fainter than the first test. Which could suggest a chemical/very early loss.

I had a chemical I believe in my last cycle but my lines started very faint and took about 10 days to become negative again. During that time I had an atypical period.

Wish we could have answers right away but testing in a week will tell you more. Best of luck to you x

Thank you, it's just frustrating as I'm still feeling as if I am. I just need to put myself on a testing ban 😅😅

I had bleeding 3 times in my life relating to pregnancy:

  1. my first pregnancy which was totally healthy. I got bleeding for 4 days and my scan later showed everything was normal. Was implantation
  2. my second pregnancy I miscarried, but all tests were negative before bleeding started
  3. the ectopic pregnancy I had earlier this year - I had constant on and off bleeding and my tests were sometimes faint sometimes strong. Never negative.

so in other words… could be anything 😂 best to see how it goes and try not to worry x

Do you mind me asking how heavy the bleeding was in your first pregnancy?
I never spot before a period, and this month we are TTC I had spotting about a week before period was due which I thought might be implantation but then my period started 4 days early but it's been less heavy than usual though still using tampons. Had light cramping throughout but much less than usual cramping.

How soon after a chemical can you get pregnant? The difficulty is that I have irregular periods, so don't know when it's coming lol

Quite heavy the first day so I thought I got my period. But then the other 3 days it just turned to brown spotting. :) x

Edited

I also have irregular period and am currently taking progesterone birth control pills for 5 days so I can stop it and then can induce a period. 😂 imagine having to take birth control so you can get pregnant.

Okay so any idea about this?

All my tests went back to negative 🥺 and it's only been 2 weeks since I stopped bleeding but today I've come on?

Does a chemical pregnancy tend to mess up your cycle does anyone know?

Thanks in advance xx
