It’s 13dpo we had sex 14 days ago and I felt like i ovulated…. But my partner had a vasectomy 10 months ago!
It has to be an evaporation line right?

I think you need to test again. Looks positive to me! Sorry

Lost34 · 11/09/2024 13:52

Don’t be sorry, I had 2 pregnancies through IUI and fell pregnant naturally 1 year ago this month but had a partial molar pregnancy/miscarriage. My partner didn’t want more children so he had the vasectomy whilst I was still pregnant. I don’t know if I’m excited or petrified

Looks like a evap to me

nopenotplaying · 11/09/2024 19:47

What made you take it? Do you feel like you could be? I only ask as I've been sterilised after c section (4 years ago) and I don't worry if I'm late at all as I know it can't be. Did he have the check up after his vasectomy to see if there were any swimmers? Sorry for your previous losses xx

Lost34 · 12/09/2024 06:16

I dont know, just gut feeling. Last year i did the test thinking i was late and thats unusual for me so i wanted to rule it out.
he did go back yes, and was confirmed no swimmers.
my mum was sterlised too and she found out 15 months after that she was 3 months pregnant
i know these things are rare, maybe its just wishful thinking

That is definitely a positive pregnancy test

Emmano3 · 12/09/2024 09:11

Ooh please go get a digital!! I love stories like this 😍

Lost34 · 12/09/2024 09:13

It is isn’t it? But I’m basically infertile haven’t used any form of contraception for 10 years. I had 6 rounds of clomid and a medicated iui after 4 years of trying for my 1st, then 2nd conceived using medicated iui. I feel last year was a lucky shot as neither of us thought it couldn’t happen… but to get pregnant under these conditions and with a partner who’s had a vasectomy and confirmed no swimmers. It can’t be real can it!?

If this is a real positive it’s absolutely nuts but stranger things have happened! Have you told him that you think you may be? Would you be happy if it’s a positive

Lost34 · 12/09/2024 09:42

Absolutely haven’t told him no, last year I told him immediately and he really brought how I felt down, I was excited and thought it was meant to be.. he wasn’t very nice about it when I told him I was keeping it hence the vasectomy - the compromise in my eyes. But then at the 12 week scan was told there was no heartbeat baby stopped growing around 8 weeks.
im petrified by how he would take this but I’d feel ecstatic if it’s real can’t be anything other than meant to be surely?

We are removing this while we do some checks behind the scenes.

Olika · 12/09/2024 10:18

I would definitely get a digital. You have now lines in both tests so you could really be.

I’m sorry for your loss too, it is heartbreaking, hit me a lot harder than i expected. definitely changed the way I respond now to people who’ve had miscarriages.

Thank you, I do feel a little bit like I want it more than it’s actually real now that the digital is negative.

I never did this when I was trying I always just waited for AF to show then I didn’t get my hopes up thinking there were lines when there weren’t. So maybe I just need to leave it a day or 2 and see if AF shows up and test again if it doesn’t

thank you for the pep talk x 💕

It must have been a faulty test because AF arrived on time and a FMU test showed no line at all 😔
so weird as I’ve never had a false positive before
thanks for the support x

Maybe the quality of tests have reduced just like with so many other products.

Probably, i do feel for women actively trying to conceive now if thats the case.

its one thing to be disappointed with a negative test but to be given hope of a positive and have it taken away is awful
