Symptoms gone - 6 weeks 2 days. Terrified after bad loss

Currently 6 weeks 3 days , first pregnancy 10 months after losing my twins at 29 weeks last year.

Had a scan yesterday. Baby had a good heartbeat.

For the past two weeks I've been dry wretching, vomiting each morning. Random nausea during the day. This has been every day.

Today absolutely nothing, no nausea no sickness. Bar tender boobs I don't feel pregnant. I'm so worried the baby is gone, they something is wrong. I've another scan Tuesday but I'm worried.

Hugs, it's so terrifying after having gone through what you have. Every pregnancy is different, but never had any symptoms for either of my girls, so what was going on was a huge mystery until the 12 week scan. Have you had your first midwife appointment yet. If you can hold on until then, given your history maybe you'll be able to get a scan at 8 weeks or so? Flowers

I've another scan Tuesday so not too far away. I just can't shake the idea that it's weird that yesterday and the last two weeks I was puking my guts up and today I'm fine

That’s completely normal. I had that in both my pregnancies, where I had bad vomiting, nausea, retching and then every now and then I had a day where I had nothing. I would think finally, it’s getting easier and then either later in the day or the next day, it would hit me again. So a one off drop in symptoms is too premature for you to think the worst.

Also, I remember your thread about your twins last year. Wishing you a very healthy pregnancy.

Sickness can fluctuate and doesn't mean anything is wrong with the baby. It could be you've finally eaten something that's helped a bit, or maybe the sickness is just settling down now that the first mad rush of hormones is in?

If there was a problem with the baby I think yesterday's scan would have shown something.

There's a woman at work currently pregnant and some days she's practically green and can't eat anything but bread and other days she's starving hungry and eating chips and gravy happy as anything! Her baby is fine and she's now over 6 months pregnant, it just comes and goes in waves for her x

First of all, I am so sorry to hear about your twins, I can't even imagine and, of course, it's totally understandable that you would be extra anxious this time round.

Do remember though that it's still very early days and it's totally normal for symptoms to come and go, it has no bearing on what's happening with your baby.

Some ladies have strong symptoms daily and turn out to have a MMC which they know nothing about, others get barely any symptoms the whole way through and have a healthy pregnancy and baby. For most, it's a mixture of both. I am 11 weeks and some weeks it's been terrible sickness, food aversions etc, other weeks next to nothing and I don't even feel pregnant.

I know it's easier said than done but not to over analyse ever single thing, it'll drive you mad and won't change anything anyway.

Best of luck, wishing you a healthy happy pregnancy

How did it go yesterday?

All good, I'm 8 weeks tomorrow. Baby had a good heartbeat.
