4dpo, impatiently waiting! Anyone else? Positive vibes only please

Hey, thought I'd start this thread to wait out the painful TWW with anyone in a similar boat.

I'm quite an anxious person so only positivity and happy stories welcome please.

I had a terrible time trying to conceive a few years back with an ex due to infertility on his side, and so now I have met my life partner and we have started trying this cycle I am struggling not to feel down like I did before even though it's someone different.

I must add that we did have one off unprotected sex last cycle and I had a chemical. So I am hoping we will be lucky soon.

I have a lower egg reserve and I am 35 so anyone in a similar boat to me I'd love to hear from you.

Whilst I dog walk in the rain & wonder whether this will be my month or not, I think it would be nice if we all reminded ourselves of one positive thing that would happen should we get AF & not a BFP this month. Il start... I get to have one more wild boozy holiday with my love & can look forward to my fertile period when I land! Who is next? X

I'll be grateful to spend another month with my daughter as an only child. Whilst I'm excited to give her a sibling, I'm also feeling very sad about losing what we have, even though I know it's going to be double the fun!

I very stupidly (I can't even think of a reason I did this 😂) did a test yesterday and it came back positive. Obvs false positive because it's WAY too early to test but it was a bit of an up and down of emotions in a short period of time 🫣 I won't be testing until you ladies do, I need help to restrain myself 😁

@sellingupslow I'm waiting until 8dpo. That's my goal. Don't have much hope for this month to be honest so I'm more chill about it but it would be a nice surprise.

I'm only 5DPO today, I took another with the same wee after I saw the line and it was negative so it was deffo a false positive. I'm going to wait until 8/9DPO to test 🤞🏼

Ahhh okay! I'm 6dpo today but I'm not tracking properly so I feel like I actually could be 8dpo based on some twinges I had last week. I'm gunna try hold out for as long as possible because I remember when I tried with my son I got a negative and was really upset so had a few G&Ts... few days later AF didn't come. Oops 😂

Saying that I really am itching to test, so we'll see!!

It's my birthday on Monday and I'm really in two of having a drink hahaa might go to the sea side if its nice.

If I am pregnant I wouldn't want to booze myself off so I'm confused!!!

@PSYJAM yeah exactly! Il just enjoy my holiday and drink & then my next fertile period is a s soon as we land so il have that fun to look forward too. I am really really tired today and I have just eaten so much chocolate which I am really annoyed with myself about! I never eat that much! But it's because I am so tired I did it, it can't be pregnancy symptoms as I'm only 5dpo. I've not really had any symptoms yet, I suspect i won't this cycle. I don't know why, I can't can't let myself believe I could be pregnant. I get so sad every time AF comes or when I realise I am out for the month. 6dpo tomo so could be the start of implantation symptoms so I suspect il he ok watch 😂 how many dpo are you? I may test from 8/9 dpo this cycle xx

@PSYJAM oh and hope you have a lovely birthday Monday! When is AF due? I would say if you don't know if you are pregnant then maybe have one or two and don't go mad? X

Think il do the same! I have one step tests what do you use? I am not normally and early tester but I feel like based on a chemical last cycle I want to know early this month x

I'm 7dpo today and period calculator says period is between 13-14 , I couldn't help myself and got myself a test and got bpn 😅 now I've decided that maybe it wasn't it this month.
I feel you on the whole convincing yourself you are, I kinda feel like this right now. Xx

@PSYJAM I would say you are still too early to test so rule that BFN out!! I just find it all consuming xx

Hi All, please can I join! I'm not sure if/when I ovulated. My body has been playing mind games with me! But I'm due my period on the 16(estimate- due to irregular periods)!! Hoping to be pregnant!

@MKD1 hey! How are you? How many cycles have you been trying for? I too am hoping to be pregnant this month! I go away next Saturday and I am due on, on the Sunday so I am praying that we've been lucky and I can surprise my other half either on holiday or just before x

@HopefulSS Heya, to be fair, it's my first cycle! So I'm not trying to think about it too much. Although we have agreed only to try until the end of the year and if it works out, it works out. If not, then that's OK. As we are trying for a 3rd. The first two were both surprise pregnancies, so I feel more stressed now that we are actually planning for a baby this time 😆

@MKD1 oh same as me this is our first cycle trying! We've also given ourselves until the new year which will be 6 cycles and if nothing we will go and see a fertility specialist. We have no children and are desperate for them. that's lovely you have two other children. Sounds like you will like be fine! X

We're first cycle too! I had quite a traumatic birth with my first so in the back of my mind I'm worried that it might affect us conceiving again. I know it sounds silly and docs have assured me that it won't but... 🤷🏽‍♀️

I had some really strange symptoms around 5dpo (painful nips, strong cramps, v bloated and gassy) but nothing at all now! So we'll see! Anyone else had any weird symptoms?

My first is a May baby too and I think it's such a lovely birth month because the weather is lovely and you get to enjoy the summer with your newborn. So hoping for a summer baby again this time! Sending baby dust to you all xxx

@HopefulSS Ah I hope it works out for you, It's such a stressful thing for couples isn't it.

@SunshineMine my pregnancies are always horrendous so that is giving me a lot of anxiety. I've never done the whole tracking ovulation etc, it's a whole different world considering I'm a woman! Feel Like i don't really know my body as well as I thought.

@MKD1 yeah it is stressful for the women I think at first and then if there are issues the men feel it too. My other half is none the wiser just likes the fact he gets lots of sex 😂
I feel quite chilled just super impatient now! Praying I am pregnant this month... I'd love a spring baby!

Waiting is always the hardest.

Well absolutely no symptoms for me that stand out on 6dpo. Feeling moody/lost in my head a bit and occasional cramps but nothing else stands out, compared to my symptom spotting frenzy last month. Looking for to seeing if anything changes .

Mine is none the wiser - he'd love to start a family and we've discussed it extensively. but I'm keeping him away from the gory details of symptom spotting and countdown days 😂

Yeah my other half thinks the same 😂
I'm so impatient I am wishing the weekend away and il be 9dpo Monday which is when I'm likely to feel anything if at all 🫣 it's so silly!
