Weird ovary in luteal phase

i have got an appointment with the GP to discuss this but I was wondering before I go if anyone has experienced similar or could maybe shed light on this.

My partner and I have been ttc baby number 2 for almost a year now. I do have a PCOS diagnosis but have very regular periods, PCOS doesn’t affect my life in anyway and I conceived baby number one on my first cycle trying.

The last 3 months I have noticed about 6 days after ovulation a stretching pulling feeling in my left ovary area. It’s not painful but it is noticeable. The first time it happened I got excited thinking it may be to do with implantation but apparently not.

It lasts a couple of days then goes away and then returns again at the same time the following month.

Has anyone experienced similar or have any idea what could cause this? I had wondered if it was a cyst but it seems odd it’s only there during the luteal phase.

Thanks!

Hey, I haven’t unfortunately although I could have written this post myself!. I too have pcos, conceived my DD first time, who is now a stroppy 6yr old! Currently TTC our second. We’re on cycle #2 but Like you, 6/7dpo I have the pulling, pinching almost burning sensation for a solid two days, a little on and off but definitely noticeable for a majority of the day, then it goes. I thought it was implantation last month but it wasn’t and then this month I’m experiencing the same thing!. I guess it can be a multitude of things, it could be implantation but is unsuccessful, it could be inflammation or it could be a cyst!. I would be really interested though if anyone has found out potential causes or whether you do get any answers! Best of luck for you though with baby #2!! Xx

Thank you for your reply! It’s comforting to know it’s not just me! I wonder if it is PCOS related🤔 My appointment is on Friday, I am hoping to get a referral for a scan but I will definitely update and let you know. Sending you lots of luck too x
