I think I'm out this month, just waiting for AF to appear. Looking ahead to next month, what did you do differently the month you got your BFP?

Some changes I made for this month
• 1 normal coffee a day, the rest decaf
• Stopping drinking fizzy drinks
• Tracked using easy@home & digital clear blue
• Used conceive plus
• Blue milk rather than green
• Prenatal vitamins

I got married last September and have put on 20lbs since, going to try and lose some of that weight

When you say ' used concieve plus '
Dya mean the concieve plus lube ?
Or the concieve plus vits ?

Did the SMEP sex schedule, took seven seas trying for a baby (old style mini pills) which lengthened my luteal phase by a couple of days, made sure I was a healthy weight, drank pink grapefruit juice every morning for the first two weeks of my cycle which MASSIVELY increased by EWCM. Also made DH stop carrying his phone in his front pocket.

It took us ages - 19 long months of trying in which I'd tried everything (vitamins, no caffeine, no alcohol, excercise/no excercise, certain diets, making plans/not making plans). The month we had our BFP we'd been referred for IVF - I think I'd totally given up and thought it would never happen, I'd totally given up and was past caring so I guess I'd chilled out/relaxed but its easier said than done!

I had started to take COQ10- sure it was a coincidence but who knows. Also did the deed every other day rather than every day during the week around ovulation.

Best of luck, hope it happens soon for you x

Oh sorry! I meant lube

Ate so many strawberries! No idea if this helped but was told to eat lots of antioxidants and this is all I fancied. Some days I'd have a whole punnet.

Used preseed for the first time ever. Not sure if that helped or was just luck. It was also 2 years nearly to the day since I gave birth to our DS so not sure if my body just needed time 🤷🏼‍♀️ I had got pregnant prior to that but had an early loss. Now 11 weeks with our second rainbow 🌈

Was also taking TTC vitamins but had been doing that for a while

Joleyjojo · 31/08/2024 22:17

I used pre seed lubricant and placed a soft cup in after ejaculation for around 8 hours. We also had sex every other day rather than everyday around ovulation. I I unfortunately had a MMC but I got pregnant very quickly straight after a CP. I will be doing the same when and if I TTC again. Xxx

I did nothing different at all.
Didn't track or even think about TTC, just had sex regularly throughout every month. Took me a while but we finally got there.

I was actually on an all inclusive holiday when I tested as I still hadn't gotten my period and suddenly threw up one morning at breakfast (had a couple of cocktails the night before but nothing excessive so didn't think it was that).
Sure enough BFP..... the rest of the holiday I obviously didn't drink anymore and couldn't even stomach any food, survived on slices of cold cucumber and dry crackers 🙈
Fortunately DH and DC1 were there to make sure the all- inclusive didn't go to complete waste 🤣

sel2223 · 02/09/2024 09:33

DC1 - I did use conceive plus lube and pregnant second cycle of using it

Peonies12 · 02/09/2024 11:11

Nothing! Already had a healthy diet, and cut down on alcohol and caffeine when we started TTC. It's mostly chance, there's no magic bullet for conception, unfortunately! Never heard of the milk thing, seems a bit contradictory if you're trying to lose weight though?

louisl8 · 03/09/2024 09:55

Nothing.

Our DD is 5 and for the last 2/3 years we'd given up, happy with it being the three of us. We had Been to fertility specialists who told us I had near to no eggs and the quality of the little eggs I had weren't good enough!

We just became very contented with it being us three, I'm 39 so thought the missed period was perimenopause until I started feeling nauseous in the mornings. But I think now, changing my job has helped, I'm not constantly stressed.

I've yet to go for a scan, we think I'm around 9 weeks, so I am anxious to know everything is ok now Confused
