POSITIVE IM PREGNANT…

👶

background info:

my cycle used to be irregular and extra long but I started taking prenatal procieve supplements 3 months ago which helped regulate my cycle.. so the past 3 months my cycle has been on average 35 days which is great for tracking and ttc.

my menstrual period always lasts 5 days since I was a teen

keeping this information in mind, here’s my query..

  • my last period was July 4th to 8th
  • I had unprotected on July 10th
  • Had light pink /light red spotting on July 14th
  • Had nausea July 15th
  • according to Flo app: July 19th fertile days started
  • Had mild abdominal pain and cramps July 22nd
  • Had spotting again on July 26th
  • Had unprotected again on July 29th
  • Spotted light pink on tissue the next day on July 30th
  • Spotted this creamy light brown/pink discharge in my underwear next day on July 31st and took a picture (won’t post it but if someone who has been pregnant before could message me to confirm if it could be an early sign.. that would be kind of you)
  • according to Flo app: 1st August fertile days ended
  • Had unprotected sx again on August 6th
  • Spotted light red blood on tissue twice & also having weird stomach feeling (not pain) on August 9th
  • Spotted light red/pink blood in tissue and had mild cramps in the left side of my lower stomach on August 10th
  • spotted light pink/red again in August 11th
  • spotted light pink/red only on tissue on August 12th

i was (and still am) taking my proceive prenatal conception tablets

so, the Flo app told me I was due for my period on Monday august 12th and there was also a message on the app that said -spotting at this stage in your cycle could be a sign of implantation bleeding ..
but no period came on my due date even though my cycle has been consistent

continuing..

  • Spotting and abdominal pain on August 14th
  • Headache, milky white creamy discharge on august 15th
  • Spotting again & negative preg test on august 16th (DID I TEST TOO EARLY?)
  • Unprotected sex again on August 17th then in the evening felt abdominal pain & mild cramps
  • Acne breakout has arrived (around 3-4 small spots) on august 22nd
  • Spotting again mild craps and abdominal pain, with sticky tacky glue-like gummy discharge that when I roll it between my fingers it curls up (wnd the amount of one small green pea ) August 26th
  • Constantly getting constipated after eating at this point
  • Spotting lightly on tissue a brown / light red colour & the same glue like tacky gummy discharge on august 27th
  • August 28th went to GP who said negative test I got on 16 august indicates I may not be pregnant however I explained to them the unreliability of preg test for some women and how some women test negative but find out they were infact pregnant either due to too high hcg levels or too low or needing a blood test instead and I explained it’s affecting my social life because I’m now avoiding alcoholic drinks incase I am pregnant - August 28th
  • Still August 28th , in the afternoon, after my go appointment - I got the gummy tacky glue-like discharge again!
  • Extremely creamy milk white discharge , looks healthy but happening more often for the past 2 weeks - August 29th
  • Present day: acne is still here but not extremely bad, just 3-5 spots on my face and small pigmentation marks

so now.. I have a hcg Blood test booked for Tuesday 3rd September with gp although according to Flo I would only be 4 weeks and a few days pregnant (if I am) so I’m worried if it will show positive on a blood test or is it too early .. but fingers crossed

What would you say as a guess? I feel pregnant but I’m not sure .

I would assume I’m not pregnant if I got zero symptoms and only had a missed period, however all of these symptoms and weird occurrences don’t make sense. I still have no sign of a period coming either

Jesus ... just do a test and stop wasting nhs time & money

This.

No wonder poor people who are actually ill can’t get a GP appointment when people like the OP are just wasting NHS time and money.

hello33sunshine · 31/08/2024 22:00

Is this thread real or is OP taking the mickey out of people who symptom spot etc?

I find it hard to believe a go would jump to bloody test due to one missed period. I've missed periods before and been told to wait 3 months or irregularities before they'd investigate.

sorry if you're genuine OP but this whole thread is bizzare. Just take a test. If it's negative all your symptoms will be due to a hormonal imbalance which is common.

Quaver9 · 31/08/2024 22:01

Janedoe3 · 31/08/2024 21:39

These aren’t my PMS symptoms and my period would’ve started by now. My period is 2 weeks late and these symptoms also match pregnancy too..

also where did you get that I tested multiple times? I only tested once

if you’re so convinced your pregnant to the point you are jumping down anyone’s throat who disagrees with you then I wonder what the point of this post even was?

its really odd that you’ve only done one urine test yet you are so convinced you are pregnant. Pretty sure anyone who is TTC or convinced they are pregnant would have gone through a fair few by now.

HORMONES cause your symptoms, not the fertilisation so YOUR HORMONES are responsible for literally every symptom you have described. Google will tell you in 2 seconds that PMS symptoms are synonymous with early pregnancy because they are HORMONE related and things like progesterone surge incase of fertilisation.

Seems you know best so perhaps don’t bother asking for advice or opening up a discussion if you don’t want to hear people’s views.

best of luck.

jf1992x · 31/08/2024 22:01

Nah sorry OP I think you're a bit delulu and want to be pregnant so badly and you're creating symptoms. Best of luck for the future though!

If the stink that’s been kicked up on here is anything to go by, the gp probably got an earful and just relented to the blood test.

SErunner · 31/08/2024 22:03

Why are you wasting your doctors time? I'm sorry to be blunt, but you're not pregnant. You've had a negative pregnancy test after your period was due when if you were pregnant it would be glaringly positive. All your 'symptoms' are part of normal cycle fluctuations that you can over interpret when you want to be pregnant. It's normal to miss a period from time to time. I'd suggest you cancel your blood test and move on.

Lemonlily · 31/08/2024 22:23

You could possibly have a hormonal imbalance, have you ever been diagnosed with pcos op? I only ask because I haven't had a period since July and had cramping ect. but I'm not pregnant.

HauntedbyMagpies · 31/08/2024 22:25

You need to be 'doing the deed' on your actual fertile days. Several days after is highly unlikely to work.

HauntedbyMagpies · 31/08/2024 22:33

I'm also wondering if the OP's partner is fully on board with ttc? Because when you're both trying to conceive, you find out your fertile days and then DTD (often multiple times) on those days and usually also on the days following. However it always seems to be several days to a week later, according to OP?

whateveryouwantmetosay · 31/08/2024 22:34

Why exactly is the post of this thread, OP? You coming to declare you are pregnant with a negative test because pregnancy tests don't work on you??

K37529 · 31/08/2024 22:43

I feel for your OP, it sounds like you desperately want to be pregnant, I was like this when I was ttc my first, looking for every symptom and hoping these meant I was pregnant. When I finally got pregnant there was no symptoms, I only knew I was pregnant because of a positive test. Acne, discharge etc non of these are really indicators of being pregnant. Don’t torture yourself, just take another pregnancy test, if it’s negative there’s always next month, try not to stress about it just give it time.

NyeRobey · 31/08/2024 22:49

The tacky/rollable discharge is standard post ovulatory discharge and generally when I was pregnant (8 times) one of the earliest signs was absence of that discharge.

Sorry, I think you are probably not pregnant.

Ella31 · 31/08/2024 22:50

Janedoe3 · 31/08/2024 21:42

I’ve been pregnant before and never tested positive until I had a blood test

That's fair enough. At least your blood test will tell you. I stand by the apps though. They aren't accurate.

IVFmumoftwo · 31/08/2024 23:40

No amount of wishing will make you pregnant this time.

RightTrainer · 31/08/2024 23:42

I’d be testing several times a day. Get some cheap tests and test daily. More reliable than listing random symptoms to randoms

Ella31 · 31/08/2024 23:55

Your information on the app is completely out of whack. Your fertile period can't have been from 19th July to August the 1st. It's 5/6 days max.

You need to put away the app. Use ovulation sticks if you really want to know your fertile period and have regular intercourse if you are trying to conceive.

The gummy discharge is common as is aches and pains. The reality is there's no real signs of pregnancy other than a positive test, urine and blood and link that with missed period.

A blood test will absolutely show positive at 4 weeks. I'm nearly 7 weeks and my blood test was positive at 3 weeks and 4

whenemmafallsinlove · 01/09/2024 00:13

You are ttc and only had sex four times in the last two months?
You need to step that up, especially with what you've got which is clearly a wildly unpredictable cycle.

artfuldodgerjack · 01/09/2024 09:38

Oh dear this thread isn't going the way you hoped and now you're getting defensive...

PinkFrogss · 01/09/2024 16:03

Janedoe3 · 31/08/2024 21:42

I’ve been pregnant before and never tested positive until I had a blood test

These feels more relevant to have included earlier in your posts than screenshots of others posts.

Is it possible that your cycle is lengthening again if it’s the vitamins that have shortened it? Based on when you DTD I think it’s unlikely you would have conceived unless ovulation dates are wrong, which is possible.

Hope you get the answer you want from the doctor, but I don’t think you will get what you want from this thread. You obviously want people to say yes you are pregnant, and are jumping down the throat of anyone who suggests otherwise. I understand it’s emotive but surely you can see it would be cruel for posters to agree you’re pregnant and get your hopes up when we can have no real idea and it is quite unlikely you are?

LoveispatientLoveisKind · 01/09/2024 19:02

Whats with all the unkind comments?.
The poster is allowed to ask whatever she wants.
Anyone can scroll and simply ignore .
To leave a comment that states the person sounds like a nightmare is cruel.
@Jellybelly888

It cost literally nothing to be kind.

@Janedoe3 good luck with your blood test I didn't get a positive on my last pregnancy with a hpt it was blood tests that confirmed I was pregnant because of the hook effect I had twins but unfortunately it ended in Mc.
I got a bfp today on hpt c IC and clear blue digital to confirm.
even if the bloods Don’t show you're pregnant keep trying and if you still do’t have a period for a couple more cycles I would request a blood test to check your hormones levels.
Let us know how your blood test results turn out on Wednesday
Baby dust to all.
