Blocked tubes, endo? No one to talk to, freaking out.

I’m posting this thread as I feel that my partner and I have no one to talk to. We’re endlessly having appointments moved and subsequently have no information, we’re somewhat freaking out. I had an HSG yesterday.

We’ve been TTC for about 18-19 months now, I’m 29, DP is 33.

The x-rays and report from my HSG seem to say that I have one fallopian tube entirely blocked. The other is somewhat blocked, it took a long time for the dye to pass through so it’s been classed as “no satisfying passage” (translating from French here) however they x-rayed me again 15 minutes after the procedure and it seems to show dye everywhere.

They’re referring me for an MRI to look for endo (never had any symptoms whatsoever). My DP had a sperm analysis months ago that no one has even looked at.

Is this a really bad outcome of the HSG? Are we completely fucked? Looking at IVF? Does the 3 month “fertility boost” still apply if the tubes are blocked? Am I at higher risk of an ectopic?

I’ve sent all these questions to my gynae but I’d be surprised if she answered any of them. I had an appointment booked with her tomorrow but she canceled and pushed it 3 weeks.

I’m going on holiday for 2 weeks this weekend and desperately want some answers before then.

So, i had the HSG way before i was ever diagnosed with Endo. I had a blockage and we finally found out why i wasn't ovulating every month due to that.

I ended up getting pregnant the next cycle after my HSG (after 4.5 years of trying with no success!)

I had and HSG which cleared blockages - I conceived within 2 weeks. DD is 13 now. My gynea said "go for it!". I have PCOS and fibroids.

I have blocked tubes, fluid in one and endometriosis and I've conceived 4 times since being diagnosed

MademoiselleFrenglish · 28/08/2024 18:16

So it's not impossible to conceive with 1 blocked tube and 1 partially blocked?

Not for me it hasn't been no, I think sperm quality helps too!
