All my previous pregnancies have happened first try, now not pg after 3 cycles

Would like to preface this with the fact I know that 3 cycles is a short time in terms of TTC and I'm extremely grateful for how easy it has been for me to get pregnant in the past. This post is not intended to make anyone feel bad.

If I've had several pregnancies that happened after the first month of trying, should I be at all concerned that this time it's not happening straight away? My first 3 pregnancies have all happened first try and this time I am not pregnant after 3 cycles.

I suppose what I'm asking is whether "track record" plays a part at all.

In my experience, not at all. Took ten cycles the first time, then pregnant first cycle for the second. My DD had the opposite experience - pregnant first cycle with DC1 but took nearly two years to conceive DC2.

What age are you? I got pregnant first or second cycle with my first 2. Third took nearly a year with one miscarriage on the way. But I was 38 when TTC my third.

Sorry about your miscarriage Flowers

I am 25 so I am hoping that age is still on my side.

Thanks, that's reassuring to know.

No, I wouldn't be concerned, and I don't think 'track record' always plays a part. For a healthy young woman, the likelihood of conception per cycle is only about 25%, so you've had good fortune before. Fertility will often change after pregnancies and as you get older. I got pregnant first cycle trying then had a MC, and then it took 5 cycles - GP told me any pregnancy length can affect hormones.
