So, this is my first cycle ttc and not really sure what I'm doing.
So, thought I'd have a look to see if anyone wants to sit through my tww with me - maybe you're on a similar day too?
Anyways... first post!
Any tips or hints or things you're trying?
Thanks :)

Currently 4dpo and losing patience with how slow the days are going already! This is only my first cycle after a full term stillbirth so I'm trying to stay calm but that's easier said than done. Told everyone I wouldn't be tracking anything but of course I couldn't help myself and straight away ordered OPK tests😅

I'm so glad I'm not alone on the supposedly not tracking thing lol. How are you feeling about the waiting? I have wedding planning to keep me slightly distracted but it's driving me nuts already... oops.

I am really sorry to hear about what you've been through. I can't imagine how that was.

The waiting is getting abit much if I'm honest. I'm still off on maternity leave so I haven't even got the distraction of work at the moment. Trying to keep myself occupied with other things but can't say it's really working!

I was going to say wedding planning must be a great distraction but then one thought about babies just totally then redirects your mind doesn't it.

Thank you, I have to say it's the hardest thing I've ever gone through. It was quite a complex situation which adds to the trauma of it. I would experience it all again to hold my baby once more though.

My first cycle trying too! 3dpo (I think!). The last 3 days have dragged so think this two week wait is going to feel sooo long!

I keep bouncing between wedding - oh must do this or that - to... oh, my boob's are sore. Wonder what that means? Or if I fell now, baby would be due.... and then work! It's madness lol.

Ahhh well I'm about so you're more than welcome to message any time if you n3ed a distraction :)

I cannot imagine any of what you've been through. My heart is just opening up and wanting to give you a huge hug (hopefully that doesn't sound weird!!)

Who would have ever thought 14 days would take so long? Lol

How you keeping distracted?

I'm doing my best to stay distracted with work but literally it's near on impossible. Logically I know there won't be any symptoms etc but that doesn't stop me from over analysing every single twinge in my body 🤣 how are you keeping distracted?

Vstressey · 12/08/2024 13:12

Ahaha funny you mention about sore boobs as I convinced myself I could be pregnant this morning due to my boobs aching. Symptom spotting is the worst! Why do we to it to ourselves😅

Luckily I'm working ... and planning a wedding. So that definitely helps lol.

Have you been trying for long? If you don't mind my asking.

Because we are women and it's our super power?? 🤣🤣

Oh my god congrats on the wedding planning, when is your wedding? We got married last year so know how time consuming it is, hopefully that will be a great distraction for you!

This is our first month of actively trying, we weren't using protection before but this is the month we actively started tracking ovulation. I know it's not likely to happen the first month, but it doesn't stop you feeling hopeful!!

SweatyMama22 · 12/08/2024 18:49

Hi! I'm also 2dpo, at least I think I am, and this is my first cycle trying for baby #2. I am also very much symptom spotting even though I know it's really too early, but I can't stop wondering about every twinge I feel! @Amcisme congrats on the wedding! Wedding planning is definitely exciting and a great distraction

Amcisme · 12/08/2024 19:26

@SweatyMama22 ohhh join the wait!

Thank you for the congratulations. It is definitely a great distraction

How are you stopping your thoughts going nuts? I can't help but wonder what I will be like 5 or 6 cycles down the line if I don't manage to fall...

How old is your baby #1? If you don't mind my asking :)

I keep looking online to stock up on pregnancy tests🙈 I want to try hold off buying any as I don't want to get my hopes up at all but it's just so difficult isn't it!

Amcisme · 12/08/2024 20:26

@Vstressey very much so. I have a pack of ovulation strips that came with 10 pregnancy tests. But I'm trying to tell myself they don't exist lol

OP posts:
SweatyMama22 · 12/08/2024 20:38

@Amcisme she's 2.5 years old now and a little bundle of energy so looking after her is a great distraction 😅 I'm just trying to keep busy but it's not working very well. It took 14 months to conceive the first time so I'm trying to stay realistic that it might take awhile this time but it doesn't stop me convincing myself that just maybe it will happen quickly this time!

Amcisme · 12/08/2024 20:41

@SweatyMama22 can see that.... but also, your body has done it once so maybe it kind of knows what it should be doing? I have no idea.... making it up as I go!
Aww that's amazing. She sounds like great fun for sure.

OP posts:
SweatyMama22 · 12/08/2024 21:04

@Amcisme that's kinda what I keep telling myself. Plus my cycles were really irregular, like 40-60 days long most months before but since having my daughter they are now perfectly regular so I'm hoping my bodies sorted itself out a bit.

Fingers crossed it will be a very successful and short ttc journey for us all! 🤞🏻

Amcisme · 12/08/2024 21:10

@SweatyMama22 pregnancy can do some amazing things to the body. Who knows.... its all a mystery!

But day 2 of the wait is almost over, and onto day 3 lol ...

OP posts:
SweatyMama22 · 14/08/2024 08:46

Day 4! My word this is going slow. I'm still getting twinges that I know mean nothing as it is way too early but I can't help but read into it! How's everyone else doing?

Amcisme · 14/08/2024 12:06

My boobs are still so sore!! Again I'm sure it means nothing. My app confirmed ovulation was when I thought so I am 4 dpo today too. Massive spike in my temp this morning which was unexpected.
How we all staying distracted today?

OP posts:
SweatyMama22 · 14/08/2024 18:53

@Amcisme fingers crossed that's a good sign! I'm really struggling to keep myself distracted. I love reading so that's been my escape these last few days. How about you?
When are you thinking of testing or are you planning on waiting for AF to be late?

RoseannesMamma · 15/08/2024 00:22

Hello everyone!
I’m at the same point in my TWW, technically 5dpo as it’s past midnight! We have a 2 year old but have had 3 losses since starting TTC in February so hope is dwindling!

SweatyMama22 · 15/08/2024 08:16

Hi @RoseannesMamma, welcome! I'm really sorry about your losses and I understand why hope might be running a little low. I have all my fingers crossed for a sticky bean for you this month!

RoseannesMamma · 15/08/2024 22:36

Thank you @SweatyMama22 ! I do hope this is our month! The TWW drags soooo much!
