Secondary LH surge 9 dpo

Does anyone know why I could be getting another LH surge at 9 dpo?

Im so confused as according to BBT i already ovulated and I also had light pink spotting at CD14 attributed to ovulation spotting. Im also getting a lot of creamy white discharge now.

Hi OP, I definitely don’t want to get your hopes up as you probably know that it’s common to get a surge right before AF, but when I tested my LH continuously and it rose steadily from 6 DPO I was pregnant! Think it’s just a waiting game at this point but good luck 😊

Thank you for the reassurance. I’ve always had a highish baseline but i’ve never had a secondary LH surge. Hoping it’s good news but won’t get my hopes up.

Strange, yeah I've had lh tests rise again but not to peak when I've had a bfp too, but looking at the tests the CD22 test is darker than the others were when your chart shows you ovulated... You could well have failed to ovulate earlier so I would dtd just in case this is the genuine ovulation this time .. be interesting to know for sure plz update if you get a bfp or not 🤞

Yeah it’s just strange because ovulation was confirmed by BBT and I had the associated ovulation spotting that I always get. I think my body is broken lol. I’ll DTD anyway and see how it goes.

@SammyBear168 sorry this isn’t a helpful response for you, so I hope you don’t mind me asking. But my chart looks similar to yours where the peak surge isn’t a huge upwards line. I don’t do bbt so don’t know if I actually ovulated or not. And my cycles are messed up after a MC. How dark did your test line get on the peak? Was it obvious that it was darker than the control? As mine wasn’t. And my levels are rising similar to you

Hey love not everyone has an upward sudden peak it can be gradual too. My line was as dark as the control line but not darker but they say that as long as it’s as dark equally to the control line then it’s a positive. Also I recommend doing BBT to confirm ovulation

It doesn’t need to be big at all as you can see mine is gradual and I have conceived previously with this pattern but it ended in a loss unfortunately. Lots of prayers and baby dust for you

Here is a good website from premom explaining the different surges. Don’t compare your chart to everyone’s and worry yourself. I would highly recommend getting a BBT thermometer I got a premom one from Amazon and it was only £4. If your temperature stays high for three days after your peak then you can guarantee ovulation and that will put your mind at ease.

@SammyBear168 its just awful. I’ve had 2 now and just don’t think it will ever work out for me. But holding onto that hope.

Still rising. Temperature remains high. Wonder what this means. CM has gotten heavier, thick and white and remains like this which makes me think it’s not a secondary ovulation. Cervix is high and soft/squidgy

When do you think you’ll do a pregnancy test @SammyBear168?

I’ll do one at 12 dpo! Not getting my hopes up though. I did think maybe I ovulated again as it does happen in rare cases, but usually when I ovulate my cervical mucus is clear and stretchy and it’s the complete opposite!
