Help please!!! Has anyone had really long cycles following a miscarriage 3 months on?!

Please please please can someone help shed some light for me on this.

In april I sadly had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks pregnant 3 days before my wedding and had to have an MVA. It was super traumatic for me with my wedding etc.

Took me 7 weeks to get my period following MVA, doc said this was normal.

2nd period took 6 weeks to come

3rd cycle (now) I thought I was going to come on my period as per my usual 30 days cycle but looks like it's gojng to be another 6 weeks as my ovulation strips have just started getting considerably darker. I haven't had a peak yet this cycle and now it looks like I'm about to have it which would make my cycles 6 weeks.

I used to be so regular my whole life, 30-32 day cycles. When will this go back to normal 😪

I'm sorry for your experience, that sounds really traumatic right before your wedding. Congratulations on your wedding!

Mine were longer cycles after my MC but did eventually level back to normal for me. First MC took about 4 cycles to get back to normal. Second one took 2 cycles. Third one I was still testing positive for pregnancy 6-7weeks after MC, that one took a lot longer to get back to normal after. Be kind to yourself.

Good luck in your journey 🙏

@Margo34 thank you so much for replying. Its so reassuring knowing you had 4 cycles till it went back to normal and this isn't uncommon. There is such little information out there and I just know it's not something I can talk to my doctor with.
I so badly want to feel back to normal with my body and to get on with TTC. I keep telling myself it's alot of trauma to deal with and my body will tell me when it's ready but its incredibly hard right now.
So so so sorry to hear about your losses, I am sending you 🫂 hugs. Xxxxxxxxx

Sorry about what happened OP. Similar here, after a MC in November it took 8 weeks to get a period. 6 weeks after that I found out I was pregnant. Sadly that was also a MC (a complicated one) and took 10 weeks to get a period. That was over 3 weeks ago so I know I’m in for a longer wait again

@Figtree11 oh I am so sorry for what you have been through😞❤️. Thank you so much for replying to me. I honestly felt like I was going insane with my body being off. I really wish this information was out there more so hearing other woman's experiences help.

@Sunshine1204 it really is so frustrating. Both times I started with the ovulation sticks but I’ve given up again as it just got me down that I wasn’t ovulating, and getting sick of doing the tests multiple times a day!
My plan is to dtd every 2-3 days and hope for the best! It worked for me last time, so hoping it does again. Hope it all works out for you x

@Figtree11 thank you. I so understand re opks, they are just anexity fuel...
I've started having accupuncture done to help me xxx

@Sunshine1204 they really are anxiety inducing. I’m doing acupuncture too, had 3 sessions so far.
My period would be due next week if I was to be regular, but very convinced that it will be another couple of weeks after that yet
