How long after CS did you get pregnant again?

Especially if it was deliberate!

I'm reading it's best to wait 18-23 months but I'd like to hear what actually happens in real life.

My first born is 15 months so it's on my mind!

Had baby mid sept (c section) five months later pregnant again

11 months between my babies - both c sections. Not ideal and we didn't plan it but all worked out absolutely fine and wouldn't change it for the world. I was worried about it being so close and whilst they probably wouldn't advise it, it was all ok.

My 2 c-section babies are 12 months apart so I got pregnant when my baby was 4 months old. It was fairly awful tbh but I think a lot of what went wrong was because they were born so close together.

I don't mind. I really didn't want another c-section so I spent a lot of time worrying about that. My waters broke at 35 weeks and the Dr wanted me to get to 37 weeks before inducing me so I spent nearly 2 weeks wearing a nappy and hoping I didn't leak on the school run. I also had to go into hospital twice a week for several hours monitoring which was a nightmare with a 1 and 3 year olds. Then I got an infection, had a failed induction and then got sepsis. So I had an emergency c-section. The surgeon ripped my womb in his haste of pulling ds out so I have a J shaped scar on my womb, although the scar on the outside is normal shaped, just a bit longer than usual. Ds for sepsis too and had to be resuscitated. I then had to wait 6 weeks before I was allowed to pick up my 1 year old, although to be honest I was picking him up after 4 weeks. I couldn't pick up my 6 year old for 8 weeks which was very hard. I think most of it would have happened anyway but the ripped womb was probably partly because of the close age gap and partly because the registrar was trying to get him out fast.
