i had a peak ovulation test on the 4th.. but now having a lot of fertile mucus. does this mean i haven't ovulated yet, or can it occur after? xx

It could be either. I sometimes have cervical mucus for a day after ovulation.

I’m using bbt which confirms ovulation. Lh tests alone don’t confirm it, only that it’s very likely that you will ovulate.

Tbh I could probably rely on the lh tests alone, but I always wonder things like this when the cm stays around a bit longer or if the lh peak doesn’t look as strong one cycle- luckily the bbt takes away the doubt for me.

thanks! i'm on cycle day 22 now so i feel like that'd be quite late for ovulation? my peak was day 20. i haven't had any cervical mucus until today so that'd mean i'd ovulate around day 25.. my cycles are quite regular averaging around 30 days so i think i'll just trust the OPK lol.

how do you check BBT? do you use a regular thermometer? xxx

You likely did ovulate after the peak, it’s just not a way to guarantee ovulation occurred. I think most people do. I always have done after the peak so far.

Yes the thermometer needs to read to two decimal places. You can buy it cheap from Amazon or elsewhere. Then I take it each morning at around 6:30am (usually vary between 6-7am though). I do it before having a drink or going to the toilet. Then put the data into fertility friend app.

I gave up using cm alone to predict my cycles when I realised how much it varies for me from being perfect one cycle to being absent the next and then going passed ovulation another cycle. On the cycle I conceived my ds my cervical mucus disappeared on day 18 and then I ovulated on day 24. I thought I was out but maybe I still had cm just not noticeable. Either way I conceived my ds that cycle thanks to using opk. I would have given up dtd on cd18 that cycle if it was by signs alone.
