Positive opk twice in a month?!

Okay so, I ovulated (had all the symptoms and positive opk) cycle day 13. Kept checking on opks for a couple days after which were negative, then went on a couple of days away with husband so no testing.

Jump to today, I've decided to do another opk when I got home to check it was staying down and I've just got a blazing positive opk. I'm so confused 😭

Any insights?

I had a chemical recently. Got a static and assumed I had ovulated, confirmed with cheapy test. Then got another static 8 days later, confirmed with cheapy again and then got a positive digital HCG test 6 days later so I must have ovulated the first time! Not sure what the second surge was about!!

Oh interesting, maybe I should check for pregnancy in a week and then if not, next week. Sorry to hear about your chemical ❤️

Took a test this morning (9dpo) but looks bfn.

I dont want to be giving false hope but it does strike me, from what I have read, that quite a few ladies seem to have constant quite high LH after ovulation. I think I need something about it stimulating the corpus luteum to produce progesterone and then, if an embryo implants, HCG comes into play. Not sure whether the high LH could be a result of a high signal to the CL to start producing large quantities of progesterone because implantation is starting. Just another possibility, but...

So if I look at first time I had a peak I'm 12dpo, took a test but bfn. But now I'm thinking maybe second ovulation might have been true ovulation which puts me at 5dpo or so. What a rollercoaster!

No sign of PMS or usual symptoms before AF

It is indeed. Have you checked LH today? I got a barely visible bfp at 12 dpo with my recent double surge chemical. It was really, really faint but all a bit of a mystery really. Yes, it’s looking like you may have ovulated on the second surge but ifvyourcLH is still high that seems odd. I just accidentally started another thread on this topic. Half the time I can’t remember what I’ve started/written them I haven’t!! 🥰

Okay I maaaay have got the faintest of faint bfp on a cheapie tonight. Husband is convinced but has binned until we test again 😂 think if AF doesn't appear tomorrow (which is doesn't feel like it will) maybe I ovulated late like we think in which case it would be a 7dpo bfp...

Not too hopeful in case it's an indent though so time will tell!

I am crossing everything for you. So hard to tell with the tests when they are faint. Give it another couple of days and test again I suppose. All so stressful isnt it.

ThatGreenPlayer, how are you doing? Any definitive news yet? I am now well beyond the date my AF should have started based on Clear Blue Digital static smiley. They are, as a company, pretty insistent that their products are always right, but!! Not sure if I will be using them moving forwards. I'm not sure I trust them now.

Looking life AF will come on time today or tomorrow, I'm starting to get cramps. So when it does I suppose mystery solved on when I actually ovulated! Another month, new opportunity ✨ have you taken a pregnancy test?

Ahhhh, as you say, new month, new opportunity. Still thinking of doing a test. I am now slightly overdue for AF if I ovulated on either surge! That said, I have absolutely no symptoms of AF or pregnancy and I have got symptoms quite early in in my previous lost pregnancies so I am none too hopeful on that score. I will let you know how it goes

I've had similar this month. I got a static smile on CD8 and on CD16 🤷🏻‍♀️ CD8 was very early for me. I'm either 8dpo or 1dpo.

Well AF showed up this morning. Quite grateful that it has arrived so I can start again but that likely means I ovulated on the second surge, shown on the cheap strip test and not the one suggested by the expensive Clear Blue test!!

AF showed up for me too this morning. Roll on the next month. Are you going to track again this month?

It's very annoying isnt it! I think you just have to hope they are the only surges!
