Soy Isoflavones, flashing smiley Clearblue OPK

Hi all,

This month I decided to try soy isoflavones as I wasn’t sure I was ovulating and had a strange cycle last month (36 days and awful bleeding).

Anyway, last month I got a peak reading really early on both clear blue and cheap OPKs (peak fertility on CD7 on clear blue, darkest line on CD 9 on cheapies). I then was very late for my period, so god knows what happened last cycle if I did indeed ovulate that early. Pregnancy tests continued to be negative.

This month, I took SI on cd 2-6 and got a flashing smiley on CB on cd7, which has continued to stay flashing. Cheap OPKs are still light though. Is this the influence of the SI as they involve oestrogen and that’s what the CB is picking up?

could be and it can also delay ovulation. I also took soy cd 2 - 6 this month, don’t test for ovulation but interested to see it my cycle will be longer as that is a common side effect

Bizarre, isn’t it! I’m guessing my ovulation will be delayed but hoping it will be stronger. I’ve never had more than one day of flashing smiley before, usually it goes flashing and then the next day is static, so will keep an eye on things. So far still negative cheap OPKs and flashing smiley over here!
