Nervous about TTC and coil removal

We want to begin TTC in the next year.

I’m nervous because I’ve used the hormonal coil for 7 years as my periods were heavy, painful and sometimes irregular. I regularly became anaemic and the period pain would keep me awake at night and make me feel nauseous. I was prescribed mefanamic acid and tranexamic acid which helped to take the edge off. Each month I had terrible PMT, mood swings, anxiety, terrible skin. I was tested for endometriosis and other conditions but everything came back normal. Since having the coil I have a regular and light cycle, my skin is clear, my PMT is mild and manageable.

I’m worried about underlying hormone issues but also unsure about how my body is going to react when I get the coil removed.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions that I can ask the doctor about when I decide to have my coil removed? Or any experience of this type of thing and conceiving successfully? Also I’m 29 years old, almost 30.

Chances are you'll be absolutely fine.

I had copper coil and conceived quickly. Good luck
