Do you generally ovulate the day after your positive OPK? I'm TTC #2 and I can't do BBT (did with the first) this time around, so I'm just going off of EWCM and OPKs. Had my positive OPK yesterday and back to negative today, but EWCM has dried up today. I assumed ovulation would be today after positive OPK, but now I'm wondering if it was the same day as positive OPK if that's even possible!

That sounds about right. You'll normally ovulate roughly 24 hours after your LH peak, but EWCM dries up within this window as it takes time for the sperm to swim up and reach the egg so really you want to be having sex on your peak day as that's when you're very fertile. If you're having sex after you ovulate it's often too late (although not always as the egg can survive for about eight hours or so).

@Springadorable thanks for replying :) we DTD on the day I got my positive OPK, so probably within a good chance.

Good luck! With all three of my pregnancies I got pregnant the day of my peak

PennyPencils · 15/07/2024 12:12

Exactly the same happened to me last two months and I wondered the same.
The FF app says ovulation was the day after the positive opk.
Last month I had very specific ovulation-type pain later on in the day of my positive opk but who knows?!
Fingers crossed for this month anyway.

@Springadorable thank you :) I think that was the case with my son, as we DTD the day of my peak but not O day (confirmed with BBT), so fingers crossed!

@PennyPencils it's all guess work really unless you're doing BBT, which I can't with a non-sleeping DS 😂fingers crossed for both of us!

Yes impossible really if you're getting broke. Sleep.
I'm 9dpo today. Started testing like mad as usual. Kidding myself there's a squinter today but I think it's blank in reality.
My temp dropped below the cover line today. AF due cycle day 30/31 so way too early, it's only cd 27!
