Ovulation pains to when you actually ovulate?

Didn’t test this month but just wondered for those who get a positive lh test or know they’ve ovulated - how long does it take when you get ovulation pain to actually ovulating?

I always wondered this. I never tracked my ovulation with opk strips yet, but I get ovulation cramps every cycle. I always wondered if the cramping happens before, during or after the egg is released

-I got my peak lh test on cd16 at ~9:30am
-I had two smallest spots of blood on cd16 at ~1pm when I went to the toilet
-I got period like cramps on cd16 from around 4pm until cd17 around mid afternoon 1-3pm can’t remember exact time (on and off)
-fertility friend says I ovulated on cd17
-high temp from cd18-20 confirmed ovulation.

That is so helpful thank you ! This was my thought that the pains would coincide with a positive test.

does anyone have anything different?

i usually have pains for a few days to a week before ovulating. I’m not sure why, it needs so much gearing up. But after I ovulate, no more pain
