Did I ruin my chances this month by starting Progesterone Supplements?

I went to see a fertility doctor after two miscarriages and they recommended I take progesterone suppositories from ovulation.

I don't temp, only use OPKs and I got a peak on Friday (28th June) and started progesterone yesterday (2nd July)

Is there any chance I started it too early and now have ruined my chances of ovulation?

Hello,
I'm in the same position. I'm just wondering if you conceived?
Thanks

From the day of ovulation? Please don’t do this! You need to start them on day 3 after ovulation (ovulation is day 0) my consultant told me of you start them before that it can cause ectopic pregnancy

Hey - I did but I only started progesterone from positive test. Unfortunately I had to TFMR at 18 weeks though. There’s some suggestions that progesterone may help you body be more selective of which embryos to implants, so I wonder if taking it from 3 days past ovulation would have helped.

i’m pregnant again (again, took progesterone from pregnancy test) - only 10 weeks though so will see how we get on.

That's really good to hear. Next one will go well too:) What's does TFMR mean?

I started the pessary i3 /4days after ovulation and have been taking them for a little over a week. So hopefully that's ok. My period is 2 days late , I did a pregnancy test but was negative, do I just stop the progesterone or take another test later. It's really confusing.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

TFMR is terminate for medical reasons as the baby had a genetic issue sadly - very traumatic

i think if it’s negative and you’re past when your period is due then you should stop the progesterone and wait for your period to come

I have just had to TFMR at 16 weeks. It was my first pregnancy where I was on progesterone and aspirin due to previous miscarriages and the first one I carried into 2nd trimester.

I was also wondering about progesterone from 3 DPO next time, this time I only took it from positive test, although I’ve heard some say their EPU doesn’t recommend until after a 6 week scan in case the pregnancy is ectopic. This doesn’t make sense though because for IVF pregnancies it’s taken from transfer I believe (or even before?) and IVF has slightly higher risk of ectopic?!

If it’s true progesterone from 3DPO helps the body be more selective I’m wondering if it’s worth a shot, as I conceive first cycle every time but have no living children.

Yes I was wondering this too which is why I’m so anxious for my current pregnancy as I conceive first cycle of trying every time (have had 3 losses now) - absolutely terrified. But I can keep you posted!

It's the same reason why I took it. I was prescibed it for my 5th pregnancy but after positive test results. (1 baby 4 miscarriages) I then read online, you tube that you can take it after ovulation I thought it might help... not this time. Maybe next month. It's great that ppl are responding, don't feel alone.x
