Periods suddenly lighter and shorter

Hi

I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out why my periods have suddenly changed??

I would usually have a regular 26 day cycle and 5 days of bleeding. This month my period came early, making my last cycle 23 days and bleeding was lighter than normal and only lasted 3 days. It was mostly bright red and thin, which compared to my regular period is also diffirent, it is usually darker and not as watery. I've not changed anything such as birth control (coming off the pill seemed to be the main cause in this type of change from posts I've seen). I've been off birth control since having my last child a year and a half ago. I took a pregnancy test to rule out implantation bleeding which was negative. Has anyone experienced this and knows why it would change all of a sudden? I'm wondering if I maybe didn't ovulate last month but not sure why I wouldn't? Thanks ☺️

Are you taking any pre-pregnancy vitamins? I found that some changed the length of my cycle/lutéal phase.
