Has anyone gotten pregnant on the pill?

Hello all! I posted a few days ago about getting a faint line on a Premom test-turns out it was positive as I took another test today! The thing is I’m a mature student, already have an 18 month old who I adore, but we’re living with my parents and don’t exactly have much space. I’m really panicking now that it’s going to look so irresponsible of me, to be having another baby while having gone back to college. My fiancé hasn’t been super supportive and keeps saying “I bet you’re not pregnant-you’re on the pill.” 🥲 Feeling so stressed.

You don’t have to have another one. You have options, and you really do need to think about the child you already have. It doesn’t sound like you’re managing to support the family you have (which is the case for a lot of people right now) but it does make having another child a poor choice, and people are going to judge it, just maybe not out loud.

You have to do what feels right for you, but you’re a parent so you really do need to do what’s right for your already existing child too.

@Ivehearditbothways Well thanks but I actually went back to college before I fell pregnant, to try to get a better career. There are zero houses to rent in Ireland at the moment so I don’t think I’m not supporting my family lol. My son is extremely well cared for.

My pill baby is now nearly 14 😁. It was a shock but I wouldn't change it for the world.

There are options if this isn't right for you though.

You don't have to have it - you have options. Have a look at the pregnancy choices board. Personally, I'd say your existing child comes first.

@TallulahBetty Thank you, I just started spotting and have cramps and a lighter test this morning so I think the decision has been made for me.
