I had blood tests at the GP in May, CD2 and CD21. The day 21 bloods showed very low levels of Progesterone. As is often the case, I saw two locum GPs - one for the initial appointment talking about TTC for a while and a one off cycle irregularity. The follow up after the bloods the first GP ordered was by phone and he relayed results saying the cycle I had bloods done he doesn’t think I ovulated at all.
I’m just confused because I’m 34, have a child already and each month get a regular (if not a bit short now) period, a very obvious ovulation period (bloating, CM, ovulation cramps and flashing smiley on ovulation test)
Today and yesterday I’ve done an ovulation tests and the line is getting darker, a bit later than Flo app predicted but fine…
Is anyone in the same boat or has been and successfully conceived? I know nobody can definitively tell me but is it normal to just have a month where I didn’t ovulate? I’m getting frustrated and know I won’t qualify for fertility help through NHS so trying to work out if it was just an odd month that I happened to have the bloods or whether all the symptoms I attribute to ovulation can happen if I do just have very low progesterone levels. I feel like I just need a reality check!
DD is 5 and I fell pregnant with her very easily.
Edited for a typo!
