One-sided left pain - 4 weeks 5 days pregnant

Hello,

I need some reassurence that this could be good news!

On day 23 of cycle, I had a sharp pain shooting pain down my left overy and some pink discharge. Then for a few days following brown discharge. I then found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks 6 days.

Since then, my left side is having a pinching sensation. Almost like a quick sharp pain - not even a second long. Not enough to need paracetamol. I had some pink spotting three days ago after a bowel motion but nothing since.

At 4 weeks, due to one sided pain, I had a scan and was put on 'Pregnancy of unknown location' which I expected as I knew they would see nothing on the scan due to being so early. They could see my left side had ovulated and that I had "nice thick endomitrotum" (lining of womb).

Since then I have had 3 HCG levels and all either have or have almost doubled. I'm also having some hip pain on my left side and some back ache - but can also feel some of this on my right now and again - but mostly left.

I'm hyper-fixated on my left side. I would say the pain is no where near as sharp as it started but has been consistent over the last week.

I've also had some indigestion but as soon as I pass a bowel motion or wind, I feel better. I am also an IBS sufferer.

I have another scan for 5 weeks, 1 day on Monday but I am in a constant panic attack. I can't stop crying! The EPU have been amazing - they can't find any tenderness and have had me in for three days in a trot.

A bit of background on me - I have a one year old daughter. The year before that I lost my son at 33 weeks. I am terrified of experiencing loss again.

I obviously know that no one can promise me this is not ectopic - but any hopeful outcomes would be lovely to keep me going over the weekend would be so appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Oh bless you. Hope everything went well for you. I am experiencing the same and the waiting game for the scan is driving me nuts x

Hi there. Wondering what was the outcome of this? I'm 5 weeks 3 days with similar symptoms.

Hoping you had good news! x

So sorry for late response! I am currently 23 weeks pregnant.

It was put down to that I had ovulated from my left overy which was causing the pain. I continued to spot throughout my first trimester but no spotting since then!

I hope you are both well and have had/will have positive news. My sonographer said "the majority of the time, one sided pain is normal and nothing to worry about" but that it's always important to double check!

Hi, I'm really glad everything is going well for you! I'm currently 4+6 and been spotting since 6dpo but it's just stopped. I've been cramping loads and had sharp pains on my left, and in my back. So this post is really helping me. Thank you and good luck x

Hi everyone,

This post was very reassuring, I have exactly the same symptoms and I am 5weeks6 6 days. Due to get a scan on Tuesday 27th May, hoping for a good outcome!! I was wondering if anyone with the same symptoms had anymore updates?
Thank you x
