Irregular cycle, lots of LH peaks, please help

Please can you give me your advice..

So I have no idea what’s going on with me this cycle so anyone who has knowledge or experiences please share.

I’m now on CD 35 with no signs of period coming also done HCG tests and negative. My cycles usually only go from 25-29 days. I have continued to test LH and it seems to have given me around 4 peaks and multiple highs this cycle right up to today. I have more cervical discharge this cycle also.

Do you have any idea what could be going on or what could be causing it.

Also for further background. I have recently had blood tests done and the results are all normal aside from a tiny bit raised testosterone but nothing to worry about, an internal ultrasound was done around 2 years ago which came back normal and I already take a pre conception supplement.

Any help is so appreciated

How long have you been tracking your LH - are multiple peaks unusual for you?

It might be worth pasting your different hormone levels here in case there's anything obvious by comparison against each. Ratios etc. If you had tests via a GP each result will often individually be marked as normal rather than considered as a whole/ what's optimal for fertility.

If pregnancy tests continue to show as negative, you aren't the age for perimenopause and don't have PCOS it could be your body's repeated attempts to ovulate. Have you been run down?

I would recommend tracking BBT to confirm whether ovulation is occurring 💯

Thanks for the reply @sirensong
I don't actually have the results printed or anything like that, I got the result over the phone from my GP.
I have been tracking LH for a few months now and have not had a month as random as this.
I wouldn't say I've been run down or overly stressed but I do have a lot going on at the moment.
What's the annoying part is I don't actually know how many days past ovulation I am or even if I ovulated at all.
My GP has sent me for a blood test next cycle to see if I am ovulating, it's the CD21 bloods. I've had these before but this is a repeat test. The first time I went on 8/9 dpo and the result was 27 and needs to be 30 to actually confirm ovulation so it was either the level was lowering as I went for the bloods a few days too late or it never reached it in the first place and I do not ovulate. I was leaning towards the first option however with a cycle with so many peaks now I'm unsure.

@shoegirl36 with a result of 27 you're almost certainly ovulating. Loads of trusts have recently lowered their threshold to 25 (or lower).

Do you have the NHS app? If so, you'll be able to see all of your blood test results broken down under GP record test results. For each one you should be able to see the reference range/ a graph.

shoegirl36 · 07/06/2024 15:10

@spttc I have tried tracking this before but I don't have a regular sleep pattern so struggle with accuracy of results.

@sirensong ahh that's great I'll log into the app and have a look to see what I can find. I didn't know you could do this. Also I didn't realise that 25 was thresholds for some. This really relaxes my mind now. Maybe that's why the doctor rebooked the test.

@sirensong thank you for these. I will have a read through.

Hey! Could you ask your doctor for an internal scan? I had one three years ago that was clear but one last month showed both ovaries with lots of cysts
& if you have got lots going on, could be stress, even if you don’t feel stress! I think it impacts us more than we realise
Hope you get some answers soon

shoegirl36 · 07/06/2024 17:11

@BlueEyes90 thanks for the reply. I've had internal scans before and each one has come back normal. I'm hoping it's just stress or something silly that's delaying my cycle this month then back to normal next cycle 🤞
