@apple67cherry I'm going through a possible chemical atm. Vfl on Tuesday and continued getting darker each day. Af due yesterday but started light spotting (brown) on Thursday evening and yesterday. Today it's a bit more and pink. Not sure if it's af now here and been a chemical or just pregnancy related spotting. I think you said you had a chemical before? If so, how quickly did your lines fade when you started bleeding? And what was your bleeding like - was it like normal af or lighter?

Sorry to hijack your thread - I started my own and it's had zero replies! 😭

No! Ask away as I never really has questions answered myself. My advise would be to keep testing to see if lines get darker. With my CP my lines only ever got to a noticeable faint (I'll attach a pic) and then I spotted 50p size of red blood and then it turned brown later on, went away next morning and then on that night it progressed awfully heavy (filling pads and severe cramps) and the next morning my lines were so much fainter if not negative. Please feel free to ask any questions as I would've loved that support myself at the time. I'm so sorry you're going through this yet this is my second pregnancy and I've had all shades of spotting and bleeding and it's just turned out to be implantation/cervical bleed and nowhere near the baby. It doesn't always mean MC! Fingers crossed for you xxx

@apple67cherry thank you so much. My lines have been getting slightly darker each day, even with spotting since Thursday evening. I'll attach my test from today. It's noticeable but certainly not a dye stealer. I had a MC in April so I'm terrified it's happening again. Spotting is pink now but still light - I'm only wearing a liner and not needing a pad. Having some cramps though. I'll keep testing and maybe call EPU on Monday if lines are still progressing. Thank you again lovely 🙏

Do you mind me asking how far along you are by LMP? and if you have a line progression? If you're under 6 weeks EPU cannot do anything as too early to see anything on a scan, however I did have the bleed that continued on and off at 5 weeks so they got me in for an early scan 5+5 and repeated today at 6+5.

I rang 111 a few times with the bleeding for advice. Gynae at the hospital ended up prescribing progesterone for me at 6 weeks but I haven't used it as no bleeding since (even though the bleed is still on my scan and there but passing yet properly) but because I heard there's side effects to it I.e masking miscarriage etc. I'd give 111 a call and explain your symptoms and they will give advice but at this stage it's honestly just a waiting game.

I got sent to ANE about 5 weeks as I had a UTI along with the bleeding and was vomiting blood etc and horrendous pain it was awful but they ended up doing hcg blood tests at the time to make sure they were increasing. I'm not sure the criteria you need to meet for that as I was a serious case but if they won't do it, if you're in a position to do so, I would look into a private hcg blood test if you're panicked.

Please update me 💕

Thank you @apple67cherry I'm only 4+2 and I think you're right that EPU won't scan me till 6 weeks but I think I'll call them on Monday anyway. I had a MMC in April and had a lot of input from EPU and they said i could get in touch when I get my next positive, so I think they'd be happy to give me advice and hopefully maybe even book me in for a scan at 6 weeks. I have been having line progression each day so I'm keen to see how it's looking tomorrow and Monday. Hoping it's getting darker 🤞 thank you again for your support and I'll definitely update you again 🙏❤️ xx

I had spotting from the day before missed period thinking it was AF and next day tested positive but was spotting for days and it's come and gone so as long as it's not heavy think positive. EPU told me they don't tend to worry about colour of spotting I.e brown/red/pink, it's amount they worry about sometimes x

@apple67cherry that's very reassuring! Mine has been very light and I've not had anything overnight / this morning. I'll attach my lines. I think today's is looking slightly darker (far right) - what do think? They're still not due stealers though 😔

I don't want to say anything just in case however I feel it's a decent line progression. I tested everyday too as bit of an addict and wanna make sure it's going well haha but you're meant to do test every 48 hours to see progression. I've attached my progression from 4+0 to 4+3 from this successful pregnancy (so far) to help, looks similar to yours x

@apple67cherry that is super reassuring. I've never tracked line progression so I was worried mine were still quite weak. However they are similar to yours so that's helped to ease my worries a little! Thank you ❤️

These have been my reassurance tests between my 2 scans and just wanted to say I never had a dark line until 5+4 and it's different for everyone 😊

@apple67cherry thank you 🙏 hoping this bodes well for me even though mine are not very strong yet. I didn't know that tracking line progression was supposed to be done every 2 days, but I guess that makes sense with hcg doubling every 48 hours. It's easier to see the progression when you look at every 2 days too isn't it. I'm preparing for a bad outcome just because of my previous loss, I feel I need to be prepared, but will keep hoping 🤞xx

@apple67cherry nothing yet really. Was quite tired over the weekend but I have an 18mo who doesn't sleep well so that's not unusual! How about you?

I've called EPU this morning and they've booked me in for a scan a week on Thursday (4th) so I'm now doing some more waiting and hoping! Hope you're keeping well ❤️ xx

Hello @apple67cherry and huge congratulations on finding out you're having a baby boy! That's very exciting 🥳 things have so far been going well for me. I'm 12 weeks today. That scan I was waiting for with EPU back on 4th July showed a heartbeat at 5+6 so that was very reassuring. I've had a further 2 scans with EPU and both have been fine thankfully! I've got my dating scan next week and just praying all is still okay. It'll be a huge milestone to get through that after my MMC in April. Thank you for checking in ❤️ xx

Oh my goodness that's put a smile on my face! What a positive thread this has turned out to be. I had my dating scan at 13+2 where baby was breach for the full scan so difficult to get measurements etc until the sonographer said come on little one and me and my partner watched him roll over 😂🤣 it was like he was listening lol. NT was 2.2mm so within healthy range. And had my bloods back the other day as low risk for all downs/pateaus and Edwards. However they discovered I have low Papp A 😔 under 0.3 was classed as very low, 0.3-0.4 being borderline low and ideally 0.41-0.5+ normal level. Mine came back as 0.34..not majorly low but did concern me as now I have to have extra monitoring on baby. I now have to take aspirin everyday as my placenta is not reaching full potential which could mean baby arrives early or small. Didn't know much about it before so I am worried but fingers crossed it doesn't affect anything as I've heard of lots of positive stories.
I hope your scan goes well! Do you plan on finding out the gender? Xx

OP posts:
CosmicLove · 15/08/2024 14:14

@apple67cherry that's lovely that he rolled over for you like that! It's amazing to see them wriggling around in there. I'm sorry your Papp-a is low but great that you're having extra monitoring. I think the more reassurance the better! I'm also on aspirin because I developed gestational hypertension at the end of my pregnancy with my daughter, and apparently the help the aspirin gives to the placenta will prevent that happening again this time. Great news that your trisomy screening was all low risk. Sounds like you're being well looked after! Yes I think we will find out the baby's sex. We're still switherjng about it but I think we will - we did with my daughter and it's nice to find out and feel more bonded to the baby. My health board doesn't confirm it at the scans so would do what we did last time and book a private scan around 16 weeks. It's nice to break up the wait between 12 and 20 week scans with another one! I'm getting ahead of myself though. Still very anxious since my loss in April so just need to focus on getting through the dating scan next week with everything being okay. Keep your fingers crossed for me! 🤞❤️
