Help!! low lying cervix 12dpo - am I out?

Hi ladies 💖
I’m 12dpo and usually due on today - had some cramps and am expecting AF but she hasn’t arrived just yet. Was checking cervix position and it’s much lower which I know indicates AF but I just wondered…. Did anyone get a BFP with this sort of cervix position?

I know it’s not a reliable indicator but I’m super interested to hear experiences! Love that we ask these sorts of questions in this community as when I google it is so definitive that you need a high cervix for pregnancy but I know from previous threads that isn’t always true!?

I’ve only just started checking my cervix postion this month while TTC and just wanted to say thank you for sharing your experience! I think sadly I am out this month but did wonder if you could get a BFP with a low cervix and now I know you can! X

Thank you so much! its early days for me so who knows how things will pan out but what I will say is, when I wrote this post I really did think I was out. My cervix was super low and I’d had horrendous cramps that morning which made me convinced AF was coming.

It’s our 4th cycle and I’d never been pregnant, and I have adenomyosis and pcos so I have been really worried that I would never get pregnant, and I did, so don’t lose hope as you’re not out until AF shows up or a negative test!

Because I am 3dpo and mine is now quite firm so I'm worried I am out

It was quite firm!! Which again made me think I was out, it changed so much just day to day so don’t give up hope yet!

This is a really interesting thread so thank you for making! I’ve been checking my cervix but there’s conflicting information on the internet about what is good or bad 😂

I’m 7DPO and my cervix has dropped lower & got harder since yesterday, I was panicking that I’m out but hopefully not yet!

Ha, really interesting, I could have written this (probably without the positive outcome) as I ran out of tests a couple of days ago and am now 13dpo, so trying to second guess from other signs 🤪. Although for me I had negative One Steps at 11dpo and have had the odd bit of bleeding after sex and whilst wiping, so I suspect AF is pretty close by...

Unfortunately AF arrived for me this morning so onto cycle 4 of this time trying and hoping it’s lucky for me as it was for you!
We’ve collectively been TTC for nearly 2yrs but have had 2 MMCs. First was found at 12 weeks and the second was found at 8weeks💔 x

I read so much stuff that day about how having a low and hard cervix essentially ruled out pregnancy, but to be honest when I was checking it varied so much day to day anyway! So so hard to try and wait until it’s time to test, I’m super impatient too but I definitely think you’re still in with a chance this month so don’t give up! Let me know how you get on xxx

So sorry to hear that, my partner was listening to a podcast about how collectively your chances go up each cycle apparently and month 4 sits at 64% whereas month 3 is 50/50 - I have no idea where he got this from or even if it’s true, but I found it comforting either way! He could and probably is talking total bollocks but I am sending you sooo much baby dust for this cycle! Let me know how you get on 💖

Ah, well kind of half and half. She's just rang the doorbell (I.e. increased blood beginning to show) but a test has just showed me this. So fucking cruel. I guess this is a CP because I'm ancient (41)..,..

And thank you for the stats! That’s really interesting! I did read somewhere your odds do go up each month which made me feel better as you are likely to conceive within a year, but I definitely do like those numbers! Even if they aren’t true I’ll take any wins I can and makes me feel more encouraged about this cycle thank you🫶🏻

Yup, as per my update below - squinter, but AF on same day, so into next cycle. I'm now on day 3 of AF so sadly it's not anything else.
