If I had sex on wedsnesday and ovulated on Friday could i get preggers?

ttc but overdid it (every night since the previous thursday) and had to retire due to sore fanjo, so have I missed the boat this month?

Also is it possible to miss when you OV'd with those test stick things? Ran out of sticks befeore I got a positive, decided not to buy more and that I was a sucker for buying them in the first place. Now its eating me up not knowing, and I am guessing that Friday may have been ov day, based on rather unscientific inspection of fanjo.

Don't know about ov sticks but definitely possible to get pg on the Friday! I think you can get pg 3-5 days around ovulation (but am certainly not an expert)

yes, sperm can live up to 5-7 days, so could work

There is some research somewhere which seemed to think that 2 days before OV was the most likely time to result in conception...

It is definitely possible

DD was conceived on 11th day of a cycle, so yes, entirely possible. And high probability of a girl baby, apparently.

x sperm live for about 5 days but swim slower.
y sperm only live for 24-48 hrs but swim like ben johnston!!

Soooooo you could most definitely have conceived and the odds are it's a girl like folk have said.

thanks very much everyone, will have to wait and see now - not very good at that bit but will resist the urge to start peeing on sticks just to see

I have 3 girls was trying to get pregnant on all occasions.Was trying like on heat rabbits.The male sperm was lost as they got tired but the girl sperm hung about.Happy about having 3 girls as they were all healthy and good weights when born.GOOD LUCK HOPE ALL GOES WELL. XX

I'm the same this month - thought we'd got faulty ov sticks, so BD every night for 4 nights THEN sticks became pos . Can't imagine much left in reserve by then....
