Lines staying faint but positive digital ?

Hi everyone.
my lines on FRER are still really faint..
I actually think they look like they’re getting fainter but when taking a clear blue digital it came back as positive / “pregnant”

has this happened to anyone else and you’ve gone on to have a successful pregnancy? I’m just worried about the lines being so faint.

on the pictures the darker one was actually yday and the lighter one today!

I’m not disputing that I’m pregnant.. I’m just worried I’m in for another chemical / miscarriage.
im around 14DPO but do have very long (35-40 day cycles)

Honestly it doesn’t look too good. Frer is 6.3 miu and digital is 10miu so not much difference.

Yeah that’s what I thought 😭.
however when I put my date & cycle length in a calculator I’m only 3 weeks pregnant & ive gotten darker lines on a clear blue standard line one than a frer. Really strange! FRER worked so well in my first pregnancy.

@WorriedTtc If you’re 14dpo that’s 4weeks already. It’s not really about how dark the line is, it’s the fact it got so much lighter in one day. Were both frer tests with fmu?

Yes I know what you mean.. but my cycles are 35-40days & irregular. I typed it on the NHS due date calculator & it comes out with 3 weeks.
noo they weren’t both with FMU both taken at random times.
but I thought the digitals were less sensitive than a FRER which is why I’m confused it would pick up on that.
I ovulated around the 7th May but my last period was 11th April… also could have just implanted later. Who knows!
I’m gonna get some more clear blue ones tomorrow n test Wednesday & Friday and see what happens.. I get so obsessive over lines I could test at every wee I take 🙈.

@WorriedTtc On the day of ovulation you are already 2week along no matter if you ovulate on cd10 or cd20. With ovulation on May 7th that makes you 3w6d.
It’s really important if you want to track line progression that you use the same tests each time and do them with FMU also you should only compare every 48h.

Thank you ☺️.
im awful I’ll test a few times a day and panic if it changes colour 🙈.
I will make sure I do FMU & wait 48hrs in between tests and see what happens!
thank you for your advice x

I’ve not done any line tests today. I’ve ordered some more FRER but they come this afternoon so will test Weds & Fri morning.. I’ve done another digital this morning which still says pregnant 🤞!

im working really hard on not getting overly anxious and obsessive, I’m starting to feel sick but that could well be because I feel so anxious! Trying to just relax - if I have a chemical I can’t do anything about it and excessive testing and worrying won’t stop it either… I’m not sure in the UK if they do blood tests to measure your HcG rise etc either.. unless they’ve got a reason too.

Hi!

i think stop testing ❤️

this happened to me last month, I was obsessively testing. I had faint lines on my e@h so I knew something was up but my digital was still saying positive.

nothing you do will change the outcome - good or bad! And testing will only worry you more.

i did end up having a chemical but this cycle I’m only doing 1 test if AF doesn’t show on time.

be kind to yourself and wait a couple days before you test again if you do!

Definitely I agree. I’ve just stopped now:. The lines aren’t really doing anything so what can ya do.

Sorry about your chemical !
im pretty sure that’s what this is but I just my period to come now so I can move on. I hate the not knowing - rather just have a heavy bleed & a negative test and that’s that.
one of the miscarriages I had previously I had some left behind so went on like I was still pregnant until I had an early scan and then needed an op. Really hoping it’s not the case this time!

@WorriedTtc sorry to hear about your loss!

I did most of my grieving before the CP and I think most of that crying was just me wanting to know and to just start bleeding so I can start ttc’ing straight away!

I think if you have to, do an another digital on Saturday! I think I started bleeding at about 5 weeks (according to my O date rather than last period)!

hope it goes well for you though!

Yes - this is exactly the headspace I’m in now.
I did another FRER as they’d arrived earlier and you can barely see a line now.

so now I’m just hoping the bleeding will happen over the next few days and we can try again next cycle x
