I've never heard of this? Are you diabetic?

No.
Not diabetic

Metformin can aid conception in those with pcos though

Its very common.
I know others in real life who have had it

Gynae prescribed it

My free androgen is high due to pcos.
Im also on myo inostol to bring down my androgen etc

My periods regulated with myoinositol for 3 months - but I also took metformin for 3 months when we were waiting for gynae referral. I finally got pregnant when I was prescribed letrozole to induce ovulation.

good luck and hope the metformin helps!

Metformin made my cycle completely regular after years of being all over the place. 28 days to the hour, it was like magic.

I did have the side effects for a couple of months but then it settled down and everything was fine. As you’re getting SR, I imagine yours will be much less dramatic than mine but if it does happen, do persist.

Good luck OP!

In the same boat, GP prescribed metformin while we wait for fertility referral, taking myoinositol aswell.
Have been prescribed slow release so no side effects as such yet!
