When I was TTC #1 I used FRERs (First Response Early Results) for testing and loved them - never had indents or ambiguous lines and when I finally got my BFP they were clear from early on. Now that I'm TTC #2 it seems that FRERs are no longer available in the UK other than via Amazon and that the ones from Amazon are prone to bad indents.

All the shops round me seem to stock ClearBlues but I've always known blue dye tests to be very unreliable (and their digitals are £££). I have some Easy@Home cheapies but they have a visible indent even before using where the test line clearly is so I can always 'see' a line even when none exists.

What are people using these days? Is there an easily available, reliable and cheap test out there which is the go to?

I use one step tests, cheap and never gave me an indent or evap and I used plenty of them.

I've always used the supermarket own brand ones (Tesco, Waitrose). But I never tested before missed period. I only allowed myself to buy tests once I had a missed period!

I found home bargains tests to be just as good, I was spending a fortune and found the test sticks and strips clear and they are so cheap

i've always found cheap strips or cheap 6 days early from Savers to be the best. the cheap 6 days early showed my positive before a cheap strip
