Anyone else want to join me?

I am using one for the first time and am slightly surprised to have had a 'high' reading on day 8 after only peeing in two sticks. As I thought I ovulated fairly late (day 16) I am wondering if I am going to just get High's for the next week.

Anyway - anyone else?
How long have you been using it?
Any success stories?

x

hi beanie, this is my 2nd cycle now using this monitor. on the 1st cycle, i was asked to start testing on dy6 and got a high on dy10 until dy13 and then got peak on dy14 & 15 and then 2 more high days.

this cycle, i was asked to start testing on dy8. and got a low.

if you got a high on dy8 it must mean that your estrogen level is on the up. you might ovulate earlier than u think.

is this a brand new monitor you are using? because if it is not, unless you have erased the data that is in it (from the previous user) then the results wont be spot on.

i can tell you how to reset the monitor if you need to.

beaniesteve · 03/04/2008 17:30

it is brand new, or so they said, but it wasn't sealed so how would I be sure?

It didn't seem to have any data in it but would it show if it did?

I read alsewhere that some people pee on their sticks and teh turn them upside down to let the pee saturate the stick but they SHOULDN'T ... it's apparently better to pee on it and put it straight in - I'm assuming this is correct and that's how I have been doing it

Oh - and I am taking vitamin B6 and vitamin E - this wouldn't effect it would it?

OP posts:

no, vitamins would not affect it.

there is no need to turn the pee upside down, as long as there is enough pee, capillary action will take care of the rest.

i actually pee into a clean cup and then dip the stick. i want to be sure that it is sufficiently wet.

if your monitor is brand new, why wasnt it sealed?

beaniesteve · 03/04/2008 20:39

it was from ebay, they said brand new and it certainly looks like it but the box it came in wasn't sealed.

hi beanie, how is it going with the clearblue? this is my 2nd cycle and the monitor asked me to test on dy9 (based on data from the last cycle). today is now dy11 and it is still on low. i expect that tomorrow or the day after will be high (again based on last month's data)

beaniesteve · 06/04/2008 21:26

I got a peak day today - backed up by a positive ovulation stick (Ebay cheapie)!

Day 12 I think. Am really surprised and wonder if I do ovulate a lot earlier than I thought.

Good to hear your stories

I am being told it may take a while for the Monitor to read my cycles so even though I ^think* I have had sex at the right time I can't be certain that I did. But there are no certanties eh!?

Am now on the TWW!
