Ttc after two chemical pregnancies?

Hi everyone, I'm in need of positive stories?!

I'm able to get pregnant easy, in fact I've fallen pregnant each cycle we have tried. I just don't seem to be able to keep the pregnancy going except for my pregnancy with my son.

1st chemical pregnancy in Dec 2021
Successful pregnancy Jan 2022
2nd chemical pregnancy March 2024
3rd chemical pregnancy April 2024

So I've had two chemicals in a row...I'm just really hoping it'll be 3rd time lucky this cycle 🤞🏼🥺

Also has anyone used asprin to help TTC?

I can't advise but I'm in a very similar boat had DS in 2020 no issue then started trying for number 2 and had a miscarriage in January then a CP in March and April, we have been referred to recurrent miscarriage clinic but feel like I'm losing hope
I have researched aspirin and planning on starting that this month (though the official advice says to speak to miscarriage clinic first!)

Sorry for your losses 💕 Our first cycle TTC was last month and it ended in a CP and it incredibly hard. Mainly because we were so excited and had built a future in the short amount of time the test was positive! I hope this month is your month. I'm currently on CD10 of a new cycle!

I'm intrigued about this aspirin stuff - i keep reading about it but have no idea what it's about!

@Eatsleepbakerepeat

I was at the EPU yesterday for second round of bloods to make sure HCG was going down (they were worried about ectopic) and they mentioned the recurrent miscarriage unit but said I can't be referred as I didn't report the previous chemicals🥺

The nurse did suggest starting asprin from the day of BFP though so I'm going to give it ago.

I'm sorry you're going through this, it's so rubbish☹️!!

@GreenPickle

It's really difficult seeing that much awaited BFP just for it to disappear a week later! Wishing you the best of luck and lots of baby dust this cycle! I'm currently on CD9 so right behind you!

From what I've heard asprin is thought to help with blood flow and thickening the womb lining (I think?!)
The nurse recommended taking it the day of BFP so I think I'll give it a try this cycle if I do hopefully get another faint line🤞🏼

yess, you spend that time when it’s positive planning things in your head 💔

Eeek, same timeline! I ovulated CD20 last month but my OPKs are quite dark already so hoping to O in the next couple of days!

ohhhh! I see, so it’s BFP thing rather than TTC! That makes sense, I may look into it! (But have learned my lesson now with testing early 😂😂)

hopefully this is our month and it sticks 🌈🌈

Hi, I'm so sorry you're going through this, it's so difficult. I had a similar experience before my current pregnancy; I had a chemical in November 23, another chemical straight after December 23, then straight after that January 24 I fell pregnant and this one stuck 🤞 I'm now 21 weeks. I did read conflicting information regarding baby aspirin so I didn't take it, however I did have my vitamin D levels and full blood count checked just in case there was anything causing it, I think a lot of the time it's just very sadly bad luck. Next time you do fall pregnant, try giving your EPU a call and see if they could prescribe your progesterone suppositories which can help prevent early MC, my local EPU didn't offer this but I know some do. Again, im so sorry for your experience, I was also desperately seeking positive stories in your position. I hope you get your sticky baby soon 💖 x

I had first pregnancy no issues (although it took 18months to get pregnant) then next time I got pregnant 3 cycles in a row. 2 chemicals/early miscarriage and then a successful pregnancy. I got progesterone prescribed for the third pregnancy. I’ll link the guidance below but I would try and request it.

@Bumble84

Hi! How did you get the progesterone prescribed?

I've been wondering perhaps if I call the EPU next time I have a BFP & explain my previous 3 chemicals (they're already aware of) if they'll possibly check my levels and see where they're at & if my progesterone is low they can possibly prescribe something?

I'm not sure how it all works, or if I'm supposed to go to GP?

I went to EPU (self referred) and asked for it. I’d called before re early loss and they’d just told me to manage at home so there was no official recording but they took my word I guess. They had to scan me first to confirm pregnancy in utero and once they’d done that prescribed me it. That is the guidance now so I would definitely push for it.
