Hello girls!

I have just suffered a chemical (affected me a lot more than I thought it would) and thought I'd do a poll for those who conceived after a chemical. Out of interest more than anything!

I've seen lots of different answers as to when people manage to conceive after a chemical so thought I would do a poll!

It's good to hear experiences too - the good, the bad, and the ugly - so please comment yours ❤️

all good over here! My cycle after the MC was a bit wild.

got a CB ‘peak’ CD13 (which I believe was HCG still in my system) and didn’t get my true peak until CD30 so we missed the timings with sex because I wasn’t expecting it to be so late. That cycle lasted 46 days (compared to my now 29-32 😂).

CD11 of a new cycle (which I’m seeing as cycle2 because last month was a closure write off!) and I’m feeling hopeful! Got a high reading on my CB but worried it’s too early and just a fluke

Oh that does sound much better for you @GreenPickle, that cycle after MC is always so weird. Hope you're not finding it too stressful mentally as totally get it.

I'm nearly 12 weeks and have had two scans and all is well, so got my dating scan in 2 weeks so hoping all ok then. Bag of nerves until 20 weeks to be honest!

my body seems to be back on track this month so a big fat fingers crossed it works out 🤞 felt like I lost a month because my period didn’t come for 6 weeks after the MC 😅😅

Mine’s a strange one. First pregnancy successful, I have a beautiful DS conceived first go

when TTC number 2 I conceived 7 times all one after the other and all lost at 5-6 weeks.

Im now under recurrent miscarriage and will be having the next round of tests in about 6 weeks or so, I have to wait as they want 12 weeks from last pregnancy.

so we will see! No clue what’s changed or gone a bit wrong

I had a chemical last month on the first cycle of trying to #2. I'm currently on CD15 following that so following with interest 🤞🏻✨

I am sorry for your loss! We are in the same cycle but I am on CD17, still waiting for my peak. Good luck to you!

I have never got a positive ovulation test but my cycles are usually unpredictable and often quite long so I don't really test religiously. I have however done some the last three days and don't appear to have had a peak yet 🤞🏻

That is interesting to know! I assume this week is your fertile window? Does your LH level fluctuate a lot?

I test my LH twice daily. That is why I know that my body failed to ovulate at the first attempt yesterday. Now I am waiting for the second attempt. Last cycle it failed twice and succeeded at the third attempt.

The longest cycle I've had has been 44 days so it could be this week or it could be next 😂 I'm not getting the feeling that my body is ramping up for ovulation just at the moment so don't expect it'll be for another few days at least 😅

just to update:

i conceived again on my 3rd cycle (currently very early still at 4 weeks but tests are looking darker than previous!)

my cycle following the CP was messed up and my body hadn't really recovered (it lasted 6 weeks) so i don't really count this as a cycle!

second cycle seemed to be good but i was poorly over ovulation and VERY stressed about life.

third cycle was the winner - we got down to business A LOT (i got the clearblue fertility monitor this cycle and it never went to peak, just high from day10). But i also used the CB advanced sticks (leftover from last month) and e@h strips and they both peaked on CD17 (32 day cycle).

Glad to read your update! I conceived third cycle TTC #2 as well (2nd cycle after my chemical) and am also currently just over 4 weeks! Still finding it hard to actually believe but my tests are getting darker every day 🤞🏻

@mangobe congrats! I'm 10dpo today so going to hold off testing again until Friday because i'll start spiralling.

Have you referred yourself to the hospital yet? I'm worried to do it in case something happens and I have to explain it again

Yeah I filled the form in at the weekend, I just figured I'd rather get in the queue than not even if I have to call them again to tell them to take my appointment out

hello! i am now 15 weeks! i'm still on edge most of the time but i have a scan next week for the gender (and reassurance!).

Super nervous for my 20 weeks as well. I just always think they are going to tell me there's no heartbeat even though I know the chances are super slim

Oh wow what lovely news 😍 don't worry I was the same until that scan. Had a private scan in between to try and settle my nerves. Hoping next few weeks flies by for you!
