Ok, seriously, what are the chances I could be pregnant?

I honestly think it’s incredibly low but the fact I am 3 days late and have nausea worries me.

My dh had a vasectomy 8 years ago. We have had no scares at all in this time. But I am never late.

key info re when you actually had sex!

beetforever · 08/05/2024 15:57

very unlikely though

floatingthoughts7 · 08/05/2024 15:57

Depends on how old you are, the older you are the less chance. Definitely possible for a vasectomy to fail as your vas deferens can reconnect but usually before the 1 year mark. I’d go out and buy an early test and take it in a few days. Good luck c

why did you start a thread about the morning after pill if your husband has had a vasectomy y? 😕

Soubriquet · 08/05/2024 16:27

Oh that was nothing to do with my sex life. Just a random post

well actually you started a thread about it

what timing!

NamingConundrum · 08/05/2024 16:39

Well if you had unprotected sex with someone, husband or not, a couple weeks ago then it's very possible. If it was with someone not your DH then I'd say likely isn't his.

Interesting

Sounds like you've had sex with someone who hasn't had a vasectomy and you're wondering if you're pregnant and can hold your DH responsible for it

yup

beetforever · 08/05/2024 17:05

and relevant that the thread the Op started about the morning after pill?

It was about not being able to get it

Soubriquet · 08/05/2024 17:09

Ok now you’re reaching. I do not have sex with any other man. The morning after pill thing was after I watched a tv show and it reminded me of other times that I’ve seen people being denied the morning after pill. So please don’t rush to judgement

OP posts:
beetforever · 08/05/2024 17:20

no judgement

but an interesting coincidence

i’ll bow out

beetforever · 08/05/2024 17:20

but if you were pregnant

pretty much on the day you started that thread about the morning after pill… would have been the day that you DTD to create any pregnancy this month

Soubriquet · 08/05/2024 17:22

I dunno. I guess I will see. If my period doesn’t arrive within a week, I’ll do a test. I know it’s a very slim chance but there’s still the chance. Dh is worried he needs another snip.

OP posts:
GardenGnomeDefender · 08/05/2024 17:30

Low likelihood. Take a pregnancy test in two days.

If the nausea gets worse and your period doesn't arrive in a week then book in with the GP just in case.

OP…. pregnant?

Soubriquet · 12/05/2024 10:43

Don’t know. Doing a test tomorrow. Still haven’t come on yet

OP posts:
lentilloved · 12/05/2024 10:44

have you raised with your husband yet?!

Soubriquet · 12/05/2024 10:50

Yep. He’s shitting bricks. He really doesn’t want another baby

OP posts:
lentilloved · 12/05/2024 10:53

and somewhat intrigued i imagine.
Given he had a vasectomy

Soubriquet · 12/05/2024 10:54

Oh for fucks sake. He trusts me 100% as he should. I have never cheated ever.

RagzRebooted · 12/05/2024 10:56

How old are you? It's more likely to be cycle variations in perimenopause than a failed vasectomy. But they do happen.

Soubriquet · 12/05/2024 10:57

35…

OP posts:
WeeOrcadian · 13/05/2024 17:18

So more likely to be pregnancy than menopause

Not impossible, just unlikely
