If you had letrozole and it worked did you have a trigger shot?

We’ve been trying Letrozole with no luck so far - starting cycle 3 soon . I’ve read that some people have a trigger shot ? Is it better to have this I hadn’t heard of it before just wondering if it is something I should ask for ?

Hey @Wheresmybag . I have a trigger shot in my medicated ovulation cycles. The trigger shot is to ensure/prompt ovulation to happen. Generally research says you ovulate 36-40 hours after the trigger shot.

I didnt need the trigger shot but i did have to have my letrozole dose increased twice - i conceived on the third cycle. Have they been increasing your dose for each new cycle?

This cycle will be 5mg. Previous cycles 2.5 . One follicle with first cycle, one with second but it hasn’t worked so I think either I need the higher dose or to add a trigger shot ?

@Wheresmybag why aren't your clinic doing the trigger? Have you asked them?
I'm on my first round, trigger has been prescribed after I have my scan (booked this Friday) and then cyclogest in the TWW
will let you know how I get on xx
