Sorry to winge, but I need to get it out!

I have a happy and healthy almost 3yo son and for the past 10 months we've been trying to get pregnant again, but it's just not happening!

First time round was so easy, but this time definitely isn't! I know they say it takes up to 1year but I just have a feeling its not going to happen!

I'm 30 and hubby is 31.

Any hopeful stories out there?

It took us (me 33/partner 35) two years to conceive our DD who is now 5 months old. Went through all the testing and they couldn’t find anything wrong. Also had two failed rounds of IUI and I took a one month break before having the final round as I was finding it tough mentally and physically with having to inject the hormones and we conceived naturally that month. Don’t give up hope and I’ll keep everything crossed for you!

DD was a complete surprise.

DD2 was 2 years in the making - no obvious fertility issue. Like PP we fell pregnant as soon as we'd agreed to put it on the back burner for a bit - i have lots of theories but none rooted in science!

What are the theories out of interest??

Took us 5 years here. The only thing I can put it down to is a) I lost about a stone (not saying you need to at all!) and b) we honestly gave up hope and said if no joy, we would look at our options at the start of next year. I have PCOS so no idea when I ovulate as OPKs aren’t accurate for PCOS but it would have been around CD10 or before so I guess we were maybe missing the window. Fingers crossed for you 💐

Thank you all!

We stopped trying for 2 months over Christmas because I couldn't handle the negative tests each month! Now we've started up again so really hoping it happens 🙏

It’s pretty common to take longer second time, your body can really be changed by pregnancy. 10 months isn’t that long, I’d focus on any lifestyle changes you can make and honestly don’t test unles your period is later - I never did and it really helped
