Do I need to test twice a day with OPKs?

Just that really, I've heard it's best to test twice a day but I'm not able to at work. Are they still worth doing even if I only do it once a day? Thanks in advance

Hey, they say it’s best to test twice a day so you don’t miss your peak. Can’t you test at work ? I think it would of been hard to know it was my peak if I done once a day , as you need to see if rise and fall to know it’s a peak

From what I read people have said don’t do your FMU as it give you not true readings as the wee is strong and LH takes time to show . With mine I got a high late mornings but hit my peak in the evening . But some the other way. Can you do before work but not FMU and then the evening ?

I only tested once a day - as long as you have regular sex once the tests starting getting dark; and keep going until light again.

I find I don't need to. I test in evening and always get peak at cd16.

Why don't you teat when you get home then before you go to bed.

If you can get hold of a urine sample pot from your GP or Amazon you could wee in the pot at work, save it in your bag and test it later when you’re able.

Rinse the pot out and dry and use again next day, doesn’t need to be sterile if just for LH test.

Best to do twice a day if you’re new to OPK’s so you can get a feel for your cycle, whether you have a rapid peak, etc.

I tested t 2pm and 10pm and always caught the +.. Morning wee def isn't the best time.

Yes, always use SMU. As you approach the middle of your cycle, go to twice per day so you don't miss your peak.

Why are you not allowed to have a wee at work? Isn't that illegal?

@Tippexy that makes sense thank you. I am allowed to wee at work yes (I can imagine it definitely is illegal 😂) but due to the nature of where I work, I wouldn't find the opportunity to test, i.e sit waiting for a period of time to see the results then discard discretely of the test. Id rather people not knowing what I was doing, I personally find TTC personal and private for me 😊

I find it so intriguing! Do you never spend longer than five mins in the loo? Never do a number two at work?! 😆

I usually do it before work and then when I get home but occasionally I take them out with me to work.
You could sneakily take it to work and do it in the loo - to be honest I don’t always wait the full amount of time as it shows quite quickly, particularly if positive. I keep my phone with me and quickly take a photo/upload to Premom and dump it in the sanitary bin 😂
